$99 processing fee seems reasonable for MD and $28020 for XT manual is a fair price. Since MT supply is very low, it is hard to get any comparative quotes. Instead of haggling on the car price, I would ask them to throw in a couple of accessories for free. If you are handy, you can install most accessories yourself. It is not very complicated. You can also buy accessories online at a discount price.

Ok, sounds fine to me. But installing accessories could be a bit tricky...any web sites to help on that score?

Most accessories come with installation instructions. You can also find instructions on sites that sell Subaru accessories like subarupartsforyou.com, subaruparts.com and 1stsubaruparts.com. If you run into issues, you can always seek help from subie enthusiasts sites like edmunds, nasioc, scoobymods, legacygt.

Hi - I'm in the market for a 30 month lease on an 07 Outback 2.5i. I've never leased before and would appreciate a ballpark fair price. We are in the Seattle area. Thanks,
Trevor

Test drove the 2.5i limited wagon today and loved the twin moonroof! Is this option only available on the outback 2.5i wagon? I've tried looking at the outback sedan, legacy sedan, and legacy wagon and could not tell by the pictures.

A lot of models have it.
Outback Limited. Subaru Legacy wagon 2.5i Limited. GT wagon Limited. Even the Legacy SE wagons have it (probably the lowest price point for that twin moonroof).
It's wagons only, though, sedans have a single one.

I'm going to test drive various versions of the Outback. I'd like some feedback from all of you. Peppiest? Best on gas? I know I'm going to want heated leather seats, autodimming mirror at the very least.

2.5i with a manual is EPA rated at 23/30 and people here have broken 30 mpg, so that's easily the gas champ. Cheap regular fuel, too. 16.9 gallon tank even gives you the best range.
Peppiest is probably the XT.
The H6 is the smoothest.
Each has differnet character, though.

As you can see from my posts last month, I paid $27,030 for a manual 2006 Outback XT Ltd. which included cargo nets, auto-dimming mirror and floor mats. If you're within 5% for the '07 version, I think you will have done well. The dealer should be happy to make the sale and if you take a firm stance that the accessories will be included in the price or the deal dies on the table, you will be pleasantly surprised (as I was!). I'm interested to see what happens. It's a great wagon and I have no regrets with the purchase.

Well, I was ready to buy the wagon after a requisite round of negotiating but my wife has since nix'ed it. Her current car is a 2000 manual Outback with cloth seats and the XT would've replaced it. However, we have a new baby and she's afraid of spoiling a new car's leather seats with baby formula, etc. while she's comfortable messing up her existing Outback. I've since opted for doing a major service update to her Outback along with new tires and brakes for the upcoming winter. Now had the XT had been for me it most likely would've been purchased!
