Just purchased (August 30th) a 2006 Outback 2.5i Wagon (automatic) with auto dimming mirror w/compass (really useful) and armrest extension (really useless) for $21,329 plus TT&L and fees. Also, purchased the 6year/60k mile Gold Plus extended warranty for $590 (list price of $850). Total OTD cost was $23,483. This comes out to about $3,600 under invoice for the vehicle and $260 under list for the warranty and includes the $2000 rebate. Also, took the 0% APR financing for 24 months and the dealer threw in window tinting. Used the "fax attack" buying strategy from fightingchancedotcom. Dealership name is Gillman Subaru North in Houston, Tx. |

Just picked up my 06 outback 2.5i.  Got the silver with darkgrey black interior. I also got the dimming compass rearview mirror arm rest ext and security upgrade. I think i got a good deal . 26780 msrp 24780 internet price 22780 2000 cash back 21780 1000 dealer cash back 20780 1000 from my trade in trade in 02 outback 69 k miles owed 7929 they gave my 9000 for it also got 4.9 % for 60 months 21900 out the door . My car ins only went up 72 dollars more for the year . Did most of the work over the internet and phone . They only had to look at my trade in . I was at the dealer for about 90 mins . My wife and I just bought our first Subaru. After seeing everybody's posts about prices I thought I would share mine. I thought I got a great deal: Sticker was $25,964 (included Auto Dim Mirror/Compass/Homelink, Security System upgrade, and armrest extension). But they went down to $19,995 after the $2000 rebate. OTD was $21,583 plus a free window tint. Overall we were extremely pleased at both the car and the dealership (North Park in San Antonio). No one tried to pressure us at all. |
