| FYI to anyboyd who is interested... I just purchased a 2005 XT Ltd with 12,500 miles in silver/black for $25,500, below KBB. It seems to be in excellent condition. I drove and looked at about 10 cars before finding the right one. The price might seem high but this model is in high demand locally. Seller was Flatirons Subaru in Boulder and buying experience was just fine. In and out the door in about an hour, no fun and games. | |

After checking around almost all dealerships in the Twin Cities, I decided on a "normal" Outback 2.5i over the Forester Turbo and the Outback XT or 3.0, and the SR5 4runner. Main factors were seeing petrol prices up just the day before, the good price (opportunity knocks) I received (after a ton of haggling) in Burnsville Subaru, and the service of a very good young salesman. With a package that included the weather mats, the cargo area mat and net, and the autodimming mirror, we close on $21,836, final price. Also, they give me 2 years of free mantainance. Just $5,000 off invoice. At the beginning of the month I bought my wife's Sienna $4,000 under invoice, so its a good streak. I think this dealer has like 3 more in stock. The deciding factor for the manager, was showing Fitzmall quotes, which I printed before,(in Pennsilvania thought), where prices were cheaper, but at the end, the guy decided to honor it. As told, I was into this dealership looking for a good opportunity to buy, even thinking about a new Forester '06 at $18,500. They have like 6 in stock. The only think I didn't like was all the haggle, because previously by phone I thought I had the price settled. If you need more info, tune in this thursday the Subaru Chat. Those people who attended last thursday, made me open my eyes on the opportunity that Subaru is giving now. |

| To anyone who may be interested in pricing, I got my 2006 LL Bean Outback wagon for $27.3 (before tax and rebates included). Included in the price is the arm rest extension, all weather mats and rear cargo net. Got this nice deal from Becker in Allentown PA and will pick car up next week. Very easy transaction and all done over the phone. Looking forward to my new wheels, but I will miss my Jetta. | |

Here's my offer in the Pittsburgh area. I think I can do better. $27,012 MSRP $23,490 Sale Price They did offer $8K for a 2001 F150 Supercrew with 82K miles. Runs good but has some exterior flaws.

Total out the door cost was $21,500 including tax and tags. Breakdown: MSRP: $24973 (Note: cargo nets were thrown in at no cost, did not reflect in the sales price). Discount: $2876.24 Less: $2000 rebate Selling price: $20096.24 Taxes: $1109.76 Dealer Fee: $99 Reg/title: $20 MD tire recycle fee: $4 MVA fees - 2 yr. Reg 128+ Title 23 + lien 20: $171 Total: 21500.00 Excellent salesman, very courteous and professional. No pressure/gimmicks. Even let me do a full test drive yesterday. Customary full tank of gas provided. Bought at Herb Gordon Subaru in Silver Spring (Briggs Chaney Rd auto park). I took advantage of the 'free money' (0% for 24 months, no processing fees here) for part of the purchase price. Why not? Service dept. let me pick up the auto dimming mirror/compass + homelink kit for $175 delivered outside the deal. |
