Well, fitzmall.com, which tends to have the best published online prices, is showing an automatic, non-premium with an MSRP of $22,055 for a published price of $20,890. That may be a good number to throw at your dealer. I'm not currently in the market and don't know that much about pricing trends on the 2010 models. But if you look at past history, I bet Subaru will soon be offering cash back on the Legacys fairly soon. You could save another $1,000 if you wait another month or two. Also, dealers are coming off their "Cash for Clunker" highs and the dark days of fall and winter are approaching. You might find more flexibility if you can hang on a little longer.
Bill Kolb Jr.'s Subaru site also sometimes shows "internet pricing" on new Legacys, although I'm not seeing any just now.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I've been told by more than one dealer not to expect any discounts on the new Outbacks and Legacies for at least a year since they were just redesigned. Unlike the '09 Legacy and Outback the '09 Forester did not get any incentives this summer as it was redesigned in 2009.

No rebates, sure, I believe that.
No discounts? People already have been getting them.

I bet you see $500-$1,000 cash back on the Legacy before the end of the year. They're already doing a lease deal and 3.9% financing, so the cash can't be far behind. As for anyone who's told they have to pay MSRP in this economic climate, my advice is to walk away.

Dunno, the 2009 Forester has gone without any rebates since its launch, just subsidized financing. Residuals have been good, as have sales, so it's working.

Is anyone getting below invoice for 2010 Legacy Limited, w/ remote starter, sat radio, and media center?
I was quoted $500 above invoice, from a dealer in North NJ (Essex County)
Thanks
