I know the STI is RWD biased and I thought all over Subys are 50/50, Scary thing - the guy said he used to be a service advisor for them and just became a salesperson.

Unfortunately, my Impreza has crappy tires and a not that great suspension... But, the steering/power inputs are pretty darn good! |

It's 50/50 by default, and a fluid-filled viscous coupling will lock up temporarily when the front and rear axles spin at different rates. My 98 Forester had that system. It *definitely* does not feel like FWD, not at all. In fact more people complain that they are tail happy, vs. a FWD feel, or torque steer, or any FWD related traits. Gun it in the snow, and the tail will slip out, the VC acts and shifts power to the front wheels, which pulls you out of the skid. Stay on the gas, and if you're good, you can get the tail to wag in the other direction, as power cycles back to the rear axle. Let's just say I had a LOT of fun in the snow with my Forester. Another thing you'll notice - the tires wear more evenly. Usually the fronts wear a lot faster.

I got quoted $20,515 + Tax + DMV. Is this worth pursuing? Appreciate your input. Thanks
