Yes i too believe that the dealer jacked the price of the car up. I was putting $3500 down including my trade in and the numbers did not seem to add up. However, i just purchased an 07 WRX from another dealer for about $19,000 and change. The monthly payment is a bit higher but i did get a 100000 mile warranty with the car. When you factor the rebate and holdbacks i paid cost or almost cost for the car which i really cant complain about. The dealer also gave me $3700 for my 99 grand prix with 185k on it, no one else would come close to that number so i had to go for it considering most people pay in the $400-500 a month range for a new WRX.

This is my first post here I've read many of the purchasing tips. I'm kind of torn between getting a new 07 now or wait save up more money and try to find one in another 6 months, mainly because I'm really not feeling the new 08's, so I'm feeling kinda rushed in my decision making as I have read here that many 07's are becoming scarce and hard to find. I got a quote from a local dealership for a stock wrx M.S.R.P. $26,364.00 INTERNET PRICE $23,492.00 plus tax/tags (includes destination, all prep charges and current Factory incentives, where applicable) also should I be looking to go in the direction of a tr opposed to the non tr model? Also I can put down $14,000 at signing as I am 21 now and have been saving for a car since I was 16. Just thought I would ask some people who know these cars the best and get their opinions so thanks in advance!! |

If you want bang-for-the-buck and more value, go for the 07. If you want more refinement, back seat space, and don't mind paying more, then wait. Also, let personal taste decide. Do you like the new look more? |

I ended up buying an 07 in wrb and I'm really glad with my decision, It's totally unlike anything I've ever driven. And I personally don't like the 08 wrx models so I decided to go 07 which look really sharp pictures don't do it justice.
