I just ordered a 2.5 limited. Since you are in NY state, I am assuming your sticker will roll in the cost of a PZEV car, which NY requires. I calculated your car as having an invoice of 26, 061, adding in $308 for PZEV and assuming your auto-dimming mirror doesn't include homelink. If it does then the invoice will be higher by $61. Hard to tell what you paid relative to invoice with an OTD price.

Assuming the MSRP listed is accurate, Invoice on that car is ~$23,396, so that is a very reasonable price.

Congrats, I ordered a PZEV last year and it came sooner than expected - just 5 weeks. 6-8 is the norm, though.

I'm getting it in NJ actually....but I'm not sure all the Forester are PZEV, I've definitely seem them. Thanks for the calculation...I just have to double check if they are PZEV...otherwise I think I'm getting it a little under invoice. I'll be committing on 10/31. I'll go to the two lowest dealership and haggle a little more before I sign. Hopefully I'll the Forester before Christmas!

New York requires that all vehicles sold within the state are PZEVs. You could order one in NJ, because states that border on states with PZEV requirements can order them. However, if you didn't specifically order one in NJ, it's won't be PZEV and that will knock $308 off the invoice. Good luck with your car.

When negotiating, should I you add the Destination Charge of $695 on top of the invoice price. The invoice for the 2.5X LTD PZEV with (wheel arch molding, XM, Reverse Sensor, Body Side Molding, Auto Dim, Luggage Compartment, Splash Guard) is 26,061, should i be aiming for $26,756. (then tax, title, doc)
Thanks!
