Hi everyone, my local dealer is offering the 1500 cash back and a 1500 discount on the base model only. With the lowest MSRP on their lot being 22640, that brings it to 19640, which is at least 1000 under invoice. I'm just starting to look at Foresters and wasn't planning on buying new, but this seems like a great deal. How much lower might they be willing to go? There's close to 20 X's on the lot. I'm excited to think I might actually be able to get an 08 instead of an 05-06, as I had planned.

the question is how reasonable...or unreasonable...Subie dealers will be. If they take inventory and then try and sell these cars for MSRP, well...I have a feeling they won't be moving too much metal. I wonder if Subaru will put a 'guaranteed trade in value' program on Foresters. My parents are thinking of replacing their 2004 2.5x either with a 08 x Premium or an 09, which they of course haven't seen yet.
