I have one week left to decide on purchasing the ECP for my new 06 XLS in Ontario Canada, The quote I received appears to be about double that paid by members in the US. For example, ECP for 84 (7yrs) months/120,000 km (75K miles.) lists for $1,675 Cdn. Compare this to US quotes in this forum "Platinum Plan" 100,000 mile 7 year, $0 deductible at $985 US. Has anyone been able to secure a lower cost for this in Canada? |

I purchased my 06 Avalon XLS with premium paint (Blizzard Pearl) in Toronto Ontario with the Premium Package (no nav.) discounted by $3,386. I didn't check with Car Cost Canada but it's supposed to be $1000 over invoice. MSRP before PDI, air tax etc was $43730. My price $40,344 (less the $3,386) Has anyone done better here? P.S. they tacked on a fee of $249 for registering my window? |

dreadsdad, coming at it from MSRP, it appears that the price quoted is about $1,200 off MSRP. Is that good, bad or indifferent? It's far less than some have posted in this forum, but the higher discounts were for Limiteds.

Replying to: ederzawiec (Sep 02, 2005 4:57 pm) No Discounts from MSRP please. What are sales going for ABOVE INVOICE at the moment.. Regional info would be helpful. IE Boston=Invoice+$1000. If invoice includes some "interesting" charges, please include. was $1200. This is also a figure I was given from a local dealer. Is this a "Magic" number? |

I ordered my Blizzard Pearl/Ivory the last week of July 2005 - actually - I placed a deposit for a "dealer swap" and Koons of North Arlington ended up not being able to find one to swap with and ordered a 2006 for me. My MSRP breakdown: Vehicle Base Model .........................: $33815.00 Special Color ............................. 220.00 50 State Emissions ......................... Dynamic Laser Cruise Control ............... 600.00 Voice Activated DVD Navigation System ...... 1900.00(deletes cassette player) Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and ........ 650.00 Traction Control (TRAC) with ...............Brake Assist (BA) Wheel Locks (Alloy) ........................ 59.00 Remote Engine Starter ..................... 499.00 Carpet Floor Mats/Trunk Mat ................ 199.00 Total Accessories ..........................: $ 4127.00 Destination Charge ..........................: $ 540.00 Total ......................................: $38482.00 (sorry about the formatting - I tried to clean it up - it is directly from the build sheet) My "out the door" price (plus Tax, title and registration) was a negotiated $35,995.00 I also bought the 7 year/100,000 - zero deductible Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty for $1200.00 and Koons also threw in the 2 year, 25,000 mile service plan - the one on the 3,000 mile intervals. I AM VERY PLEASED with my buying experience - as an "ex-loyal" Infiniti Q45 owner (for 14 years) - I was treated better than ANY Infiniti dealer I have ever dealt with. No upselling, no undercoating push, no leather protectorant, nothing, notta. I would highly recommend Koons of North Arlington, VA to anyone in the area. An added bonus is that the dealership is only 5 blocks from my residence. I have had the Avalon for 2 weeks now and am VERY impressed. I will be posting my driving and MPG experiences within a few weeks on the Avalon 2005/2006 board. I know I could have bargained for the 7/100,000 plan since I have read that the dealer cost is $985, but since I got the 2006 for basically the same price of our agreed upon deal of a 2005, plus they threw in the Remote Start (I did not order) and the 2 year/25,000 service plan - I did not think I needed to. $2,500 off MSRP - PLUS a great trade in (better than Infiniti offered me on a $64,100 Q45 Premium) - basically a matter of economics. I am VERY happy !!! I have 500 miles on her so far and, although most of it has been highway miles (DC to Philly) - I have averaged 32.8 mpg. NICE !!! Thanks for listening. dcboater |
