Replying to: 2008stype (Dec 11, 2008 8:18 am) This car has FIVE THOUSAND MILES on it however.....and they are NOT willing to adjust price for the 5000 Miles that they have put on it. They're giving me Invoice Minus 3500 Rebate, but ADD $2500 for the Rims and Tires. I researched into how much those Chrome Wheels and Tires are going for if you buy them seperately and it is somewhere near $2000 Max, not $2500. Also, they are not not willing to give up any of the dealer holdback. I guess it might be a great deal for someone who really wants a Type S really badly, but not for me. What do you guys think?

I was happy with my deal as I got it out the door for about 2K less than MSRP (that included all taxes, title, and other minor costs). They apparently have quite a few TLs/with Nav. Maybe you can get a better deal on one of those. Don't forget your not buying a 20K car so the dealer is expecting to make a few more $ as they are not as a high volume vehicle. I could not get an indication what % of TLs are S but I suspect they are a bit scarce. Hope something works out for you. |

Replying to: zrocks (Dec 17, 2008 10:55 am) I contacted Marin also. To their credit, they said right off the bat they couldn't match the price. At least they didn't try to do a bait/switch on me. The person at Los Gatos that I spoke to seemed pretty nice, but I didn't really deal with them enough to form a strong opinion. When I ask dealers to beat prices, I'll usually ask them to beat the OTD price, just so that it's easier to compare. What kind of prices are you seeing? I just bought a TL a couple of weeks ago, and I'm curious to see if prices are dropping at all now that it's near the end of the year |

Alright... I need some help in deciding between these two: My two choices: 1. 2008 TL w/ Nav: 29,800K (plus Tax+Title+doc fee) with 0.9% 2. 2008 RL w/ Nav: 41K (plus Tax+Title+doc fee) with 6% (Special Financing Expired) |
