| I had a trade of $18,000, which left me a $11,992 balance. Add sales tax to that balance plus DOC of $190.00, and tags of apprx. $55.00. If your buying with no trade then you will have to add 7% sales tax to price paid, + DOC, and tags. My final balance was $13,100. Also, had painted pin stripe along with mud guards, door edge guards (matching color), trunk tray, and wheel locks, all at no charge. I wanted a Carbon Bronze, but they had none, so I settled for red which my wife like. I do like white, especially when make up is added to the outside. I wanted a base TL, but when my wife drove one with navigation it was over, the nav won out. | |

Just picked up a 2008 TL Navi Black on Black. I just have to say I did a lot of shopping around and found the experience at Acura of Thousand Oaks to be wonderful. They have only been open for a few months. I have purchased a few Acura’s in my time all from the internet. They have a new General Sales Manager there that use to be at Santa Monica. We purchased our car from him a few years ago because he was a straight shooter. The selection is good and everyone in the dealership was helpful and courteous. We paid just under 30K plus ttl including mudguards wheel locks and trunk tray. We considered the 2009 TL but there does not seem to be much wiggle room yet however he did tell me that he would do something off the sticker but is was by no means compared to the discount on the 08.

Hey guys (and gals), I assume you can all do a little math to get your own OTD prices based on the state taxes where you live? But asking others in the forum to give OTD prices is ass backwards and makes cross state comprisons messy. Do they live in Delaware (0 sales tax), California (8%+) or somewhere in-between. In PA, you only pay tax on the difference between a new car and a dealer trade, so my OTD price was meaningless to anybody without a trade, when I had one worth $22k and only paid taxes on a $10k difference. In some states, the sales tax varies county by county. You don't really want to get that personal trying to compare prices, do you?? I suggest posting and asking for the bottom line cash price (including dealer add ons), but before sales tax . That's the only way to compare apples to apples, unless you are really into other fruits and useless comparisons. And if you are old enough to drive, but didn't learn decimal multiplication by the 4th grade, move to Delaware and you'll still be fine

Can anybody share their buying experience/ prices for the 2009 TL???? In full agreement with habitat1 when he suggests that members of this forum inform the OTD as the price paid or quoted with all the fees... but before the sales tax. I have been told that due to the current financial situation and the unfortunate timing for the release into the marketplace of the new 2009 TL they would be offering a some kind of manufacturer's marketing asistance... anybody heard about this??? Thanks

Replying to: habitat1 (Oct 13, 2008 3:16 am) I've posted before that all we need to do is post the price of the car you are getting or already bought (cap cost in case of a lease) and that will help us, potential buyers, much better that that OTD crap. Also the details of the deal in case that you got goodies (mud flaps, mats, wheel locks, etc). Anyways, let me go back to look what Apple is doing today to see if I can afford the car again...damm market! |
