Replying to: tenbelow (Oct 02, 2008 3:51 pm) Thanks for the tip. I was wondering what product to use. A co-worker has an older M-5 and was using a product called Hide Food. This seemed to work for him. So far the S is great. Getting the same MPG as my 01 Accord V-6, 86 more HP for the cost of premium. Jeff |

Thanks in part to some discussion here and in the TSX forum, I purchased a used 2008 TL Type-S 6MT with 12K miles a couple of weeks ago for $28,900 from a Toyota dealership in Texas that had taken it in on a trade. The previous owner (and dealer) left the original owner's Aug 2007, $39K+ receipt in the owner's manual. The previous owner also left all of their phone numbers, etc. in the Nav system's memory. (Let this be a lesson to all of you when you sell your car later!) Carmax had several 2007 and 2008 Type-S 6MT's for around $32K. (They have a blue 2007 with 18K miles in Raleigh right now which they've only recently reduced to $28,998. On Aug 31, they were asking $31,599 for this exact car.) The 6MT was practically impossible to find new from any Acura dealer nationwide last month. Even a used one was hard to find -- especially in silver or carbon bronze. Getting 31 MPG Hwy and 21 MPG City. The most helpful search engine for my search was probably oogle.com, though I used several others, too. |

Purchased a '08 TL-S a couple weeks ago for $33K (OTD was $36K here in LA county w/ 8.25% sales tax). That was the best price I could find in the LA/OC area and so, with inventories getting lower, I pulled the trigger. Silver with silver/ebony interior. They threw in floor mats but wouldn't budge on mud guards or wheel locks.

Replying to: 2008stype (Oct 07, 2008 5:46 am) So I just picked up my 08 TL base last night in Brighton, MA. $28000 including remote starter, excluding tax and other fees... got $14000 for my trade (07 honda civic ex w/ 28k). Didn't realize that I could've gotten more for the trade until I did some more research today!! ARGHHH, I was too impatient!
