Replying to: thebink (Sep 03, 2008 8:54 am) The best price I have seen posted is $27,500 for a base TL (supposedly from MD). The best price I have personally been offered is $28,206 (base TL) from SoCal. My local (Reno, NV) dealer said no way they could come close to $28.2, so they think it's either a bait and switch or I should take it. Wasn't in the market for an S-Type, but I found a Certified '07 S-Type with 4600 miles (dealer car) for $29k...thoughts? (add tax, doc, and lic fees to all prices). Mike |

The $2500 rebate will return and remain until 08 inventory is depleted. They will also do a promotion?? for 09 inventory during the launch.

I just checked some reports that came out today and the sales accross the board are dismal to say the least. Acura sales are down 17%. TL sales are down 23% month to date and 23% year to date. Their only bright spot is the TSX and that is due to the shift of consumer to more fuel effecient cars. So sit tight. I know that they will not be making more 08 TLs, but they will not be flying off the shelves either. If you have the patience, end of this month should be a good time to buy, heck, I dare to say that there will be some nice invetory of 08 left until xmas. If you are flexible with your color choices you will be rewarded with great prices. Trust me, I want to get my TL-S "yesterday" already, but I am sitting down until I get my lease pmt at $425-430 http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2008/08/01/095140.html |

Hi, Picked up our 08 TL for 28,200+TTL with splash guards, cargo net, trunk tray, wheel locks included at Marin Acura. This was the cash price but it was by far the BEST price I got. Nick |

Hi All, I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm seeing a limit to the bottom prices that dealers are offering. I posted a few days ago basically asking if peoples' prices were with or without the financing, as that would affect the final sales price. Since the dealers can't combine the special financing with any cash-to-dealer incentives, folks can either opt for 0.9% or take the money (assuming the dealer offers it Prior to this weekend, the best deals I saw were $33,100 and $33,200. That would be $2,500 below my offer, which is what the cash incentive was prior to 3 Sep. Nickatnite posts above that he got $28,200 for a TL w/o Navi. Taking off $4K for the step down from TL-S to base w/o Navi, and subtracting off the extra $1K from the new incentive ($3,500 total), brings my quote in line with what Nickatnite received. Moreover, I've received three or four internet quotes for around $33,200 (prior to the 3 Sep increase in cash incentive...I think I could talk them down to $32,200 now). Without any haggling there, I'm immediately seeing what I think would be the floor price. Is there room to haggle on an internet quote? So far I haven't, as I think I'm coming to the realization that I'm seeing the best prices that I can get. My point is: I think I'm seeing a definite floor to prices (~$28,200 for base non-navi, then add $2K for navi and $2K more for TL-S). Again, these numbers are all WITHOUT the financing offers. Would anyone agree with this "analysis?" |

Just bought it. Black/black, showroom car, 7 miles. Other dealer had the same car but it had been sitting outside, very dirty, and even the rotors were rusty. Grandson that was along said this one also had different wheels that he liked better. It has Michelin tires. Price was 33.5K WITH the 2.9 financing. Since I am retired, I need the financing. I hope all you guys keep working and paying my social security since that is what makes the payment. Trade-in car was my spotless 2000 TL with nav and 70,800 miles. This dealer offered $6700, $200 more than the other dealer for the trade. We didn't trade it and instead sold it to grand daughter for that value. The loss of the trade did not change the price we had to pay. Have already put Zaino on it except for the clay treatment. What a beautiful car.
