Hi guys!! Time to pay back!! I just got my 2008 TL Type-S over the Saturday. It is in Cabron Bronze Pearl with Ebony interior. I requested more than 10 quotes from all the dealers in Los Angeles area (far from Torrance South Bay to Tustin OC. Most of the quote I got back were about the same price and only few hundreds dollars difference. The best quote I got was from Metro Acura in Montclair and their price was $32,995 sales price and $36,063.78 out the door price. The OTD price also included $500 gift certificate card that can be applied to service for parts/accessories purchases at Metro Acura. However, I didn't get my car from Metro Acura because of the location. I ended up getting my car at Sierra Acura in Alhambra. They match the same sales price as Metro Acura but they do not offer any gift certificate card. They ended up offer me discount on the body kit (front, side, and read under spoiler kit) at discount cost and also the color match mud guards and wheel locks. The Internet/Fleet sales manager was very professional and nice. He walked me through all the functions of the car and aslo helped me setup my phone to sync with the car while waiting for all the paper works from the financial manager. I drove off the car from the dealer in less than 3 hours. Listed below is the break down of the prices. Sales Price ........................... $32,995 Body Kit .................................$1,000 (included installation and normally cost $1500 for parts and labor) Final Sales Price ....................$33,995 Sales Tax Documentation Fee .................$55 Registration ............................$284 CA Tire Fee ............................$8.75 Out The Door .........................$37,151.88 included (body kit, color match mud guards and wheel locks) Oh!! Also, the production date of my car was on Jan, 2008. =)

Hi everyone Looking for advice from Carman or anyone else about the following deal I concluded on a lease on Saturday for base Acura TL 2008 without Nav 3/30. Posted this on another forum but think this is probably the right site. Sell Price: 30,723.78 (including 1045 customer cash and dealer contrib) MF: .00101 RV: 19,630.80 Tax: 8 % Down: 1260 Monthly payment: 410/month 36months/ 10 K per year. Dealer threw in all weather mats ( a paltry $144 value) Had a 2005 Camry XLE lease I turned in early. Acura dealer paid buyoff of 13,000. I had to pay the difference which was about $720. Was this a good deal? Please advise Thanks |

Hello, Does anyone know if you can combine the 0.9 financing with the 2K incentive? I am in the MA area. Thank you!

I am interested in '08 Type-S. I know the $2K cash is still available...how about any special financing incentives...2.9%, 4.9% or someone indicated they got .9%? Thanks... |

Ok - we love the TL - loved the test drive a couple of weeks ago and we think the net pricing of $31500 or so w/nav that everyone seems to be paying is reasonable for this auto. Our one concern is resale in 2013. We keep our cars 5 years, average 12k per year and we always purchase a 7 year 100K or 84K warranty so that when we go to resell we can advertise with warranty (makes the car stand out). We have a 2003 Camry XLE w/nav and all the goodies that we will sell on ebay or local paper or craigslist..... Our only hesitation is not being able to see any pcitures of the 2009 TL which may be radically different (as the Accord is from 08 to 07). We do believe that buying the last year of major model change will hurt on resale - especially if the new model is met with positive enthusiasm (re the Accord). We have searched EVERYWHERE and can not find any photos yet of the 2009. Just covered possible pics - but nothing definitive. Hard to believe that it is April 1st and no pics of a model that should ship this summer. The incentives as they are end on April 30th (dealer cash). When will manufacture of the 2008 stop? When will the availability of 2008 become more difficult? Can't pull the trigger without being able to compare 08 and 09 models (costs, features, etc.) Am I the only one?

Replying to: zoomer602 (Apr 01, 2008 7:53 am) I have loved the Acura's since the Legend and would probably still drive one of those if I found a clean one, and I think I will feel the same about the TL. If you plan to sell the car after 4 or 5 years, and your current car is a 2003 I would personally wait it out just to see what comes. I plan to keep this car for at least 10 years unless I make enough cash to be able to upgrade and not care. A negative on the new body when it finally comes out is that the first year of production is never rock solid. The current TL is far overdue and they have perfected it quite nicely after producing it for 5 years. An example of first year negatives is the newly redesigned Honda Accord. If you go over to the accord thread you will see that many say the 4 cylinder is underpowered, and people HATE the v6 efficiency where it drops down cylinders and in certain situations lose the power when you want it most. I shopped the Accord hard and decided I was just not into the overall design, and that the first year of production seemed to already be off to a wacky start. Just my 2 cents. |
