Got the following quote for a Base TL including destination $28,999, with TTL additional.

For a TL with Nav, quoted $31,246 + TTL.

This was from Sierra Acura of Alhambra. Have not purchased yet.

2008 TL Type S (manual) in MD/NoVa by cactoctin

I want to purchase a 2008 TL Type S (manual transmission) in the Maryland/DC area. I’ve been reading all the posts but haven’t found any from my area. The $33,200 prices quoted from some California dealers don’t seem to be available around here. The invoice price I found on Edmunds is $35,117. So, subtract 2% dealer holdback, subtract $2000 for dealer cash and you have a dealer’s cost of $32,338.

I’m getting the following email quotes:
Pohanka: $33,117 + 399 (processing fee) +715 (dest charge) = $34,231
ChevyChase: $34,032 (incl dest charge) +100 (processing fee) = $34,132
Rosenthal: $33,696 + 95 (processing fee) + 715 (dest charge) = $34,506

So, are these reasonable offers? Are those California prices without the destination charge? Because I want a manual transmission, I don’t think I’ll be able to negotiate much – Acura doesn’t seem to make many. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got my Type-S from Hopkins Acura (in Redwood City) for $33,200 and this included the $715.00 destination fee. I think a few other dealers out here in the Bay Area would have matched the offer but I was happy with the price and didn't want to hassle with it.

Like you said, since you want the manual transmission maybe that's why the prices are higher.

I was just there today (Sierra Acura) and bought a TL w/Navi and the Mud Guards/Floor Mats/Tire Locks package. I paid $31,600 + TTL. So.. I think $31,246 is a good deal.

I should warn you, however, my experience at Sierra was not good. We had agreed on a final OTD price so I could bring a check and when I got there they said they couldn't honor it. I had to fight them for it. I was hoping moving up to Acura they would be beyond those kind of games. So beware.

The 2.9% was a President's Day promotion and expired on 2/23. The 2K dealer cash money dries up on 3/3.
