Depends on what state you are registering in.

I live in Northern VA and bought my TL in MD. Saved a few hundred bucks because the processing fee is cheaper in Maryland - $95 vs. $299 in VA. Otherwise, they charge the same 3% sales tax that I would be charged in VA because the dealer remits the sales tax back to Virginia. The dealer took care of the Virginia license plate for me and Fedexed to my house when they received it. I did drive around with a Temporary MD tag for a month but that was no big deal.

Only other consideration is that the MD dealer did not provide a VA inspection sticker so I had to pay $16 to get my car inspected back in Virginia.

Thanks for the info ecnirp. What dealership did you use in MD and were you happy with them?

If you were happy with a salesperson in particular, could you please email me their contact info nnd6a at hotmail.

TL w/o Nav in NJ by mfedor

Bought a TL w/o Nav over the weekend at Bridgewater Acura. Paid invoice price ($31,517), $198 doc fee, plus TTL. To close the deal they included wheel locks and mud guards at no charge. Special financing incentive (4.9 % for 60 months) is in effect thru 2/22 (I think). All in all, a very pleasant experience. Worked out the deal over the phone with very little hassle.

Bought a TL-S (black/black) today at Springfield Acura.

Paid $35,181.87 + $670 DC + 189 doc fee + TTL. OTD price of $38,900. Very smooth transaction, helpful staff. I may have haggled the price down some more, but my old car died the middle of last week (transmission) and I didn't want to keep paying rental car charges.

Was quoted 31,004 for a 6MT with NAV. Should I be able to do better than this considering this is now a 1 year old car?

BTW, I'm in Central NJ.

2006 3.2 6MT w/Navi
MSRP 35,325
Dest 670

Invoice 32,205
Dest 670
Dealer Incentive - scour the net for current number
Holdback 1060

Start at invoice plus dest minus incentive and holdback and work from there. Most buyers were paying $100 - $600 above that number for these "old" models.

I'm in the market for the TL with nav and I hope to buy one by the end of this month. Has anyone purchased the extended warranty? Is it worth it? What about Low Jack?
Thanks!

I've been researching TL base with navi for 2 months now, and the lowest price i've seen is invoice price + TTL.
I'm waiting for a low apr deal, and looking at price of approximately $34,500 OTD. I think that is reasonable price?
