Replying to: mscott101 (Aug 28, 2006 12:18 pm) My quote from Davis, obviously, didn't include NJ tax. I just talked to them: 29350 * 1.07 = 31405 + 55 doc + 224 registration (not 400!) = 31684. |

how much discount do you think i can look to get because i will be purchasing on the last day of this month? assume that my best offer at this point is $31,500. Obviously I am not going to walk in and give them $31,500 without any negotiation. What do you think is a good $$$ amount to offer? If I offer 31,000 and they call me crazy, what is the worst that can happen? I can just go to another dealership on Saturday 9/2 and the prices will be the same $31,500. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If they had a good month, it might not be as important to them. Depending on where you buy, you should be able to knock down the doc fee. That's a total BS fee to begin with and just lets them backload the deal. |

| Does anyone have a ballpark number for gap insurance? I've been reading that one should buy it when leasing a car. THX! | |
