I'm picking up my new TL MT/Navi today from Tischer in Laurel, MD. My OTD price is 31,200 and that includes mudflaps and wheel locks. They don't give the lifetime oil changes like Radley (Woodbridge,VA), but they are 40 miles closer to home and they beat Radley's offer of 31,500. Of course, NOW Radley wants me to drive all the way back over so they can "beat that price". Funny how they had told me with their earlier offer they weren't making any money on the deal. I think I'm getting a good deal, but it seems it is basically invoice minus $1000. Tischer has been easy to work with and very low pressure. They're the little guy compared to Radley and they try harder.

Replying to: rmthom (Aug 21, 2006 8:15 am) I did most of the negotiating over email with everyone in the area (Radley, Rosenthal, Pohanka, ChevyChase). I had the $30,950 quote from Sussman in Philly, and used that in the negotiations. I let everyone know that I was more than willing to drive to Philly to save some money. Rosenthal said they wanted no part of it. The others wanted to "talk" and their initial offers were not too bad. In the end, Pohanka (which is my local dealer) agreed to $31,000 which included destination, wheel locks and mats . That was only $50 more than Sussman and it saved me 5 hours round trip (and they had the exact color combo that I wanted on the lot). They also have the free inspections, and they could do all of the dmv work for me, so that was all well worth the $50. I really appreciate this forum for all of the info. I'm very happy with my deal, and hopefully this will help someone else.

Replying to: shinyhappy (Aug 21, 2006 9:20 am) Thanks for the info. You must live near me. I got the same quote from Sussman and sent it to the same dealers. Criswell blew me off but Radley and Pohanka both claim they can beat it. They won't email a price to me though. I was curious what finance rate you were able to get? Thanks! Also for the group, I was at the dealership this weekend and spent about 30 minutes listening/adjusting the sound system. I must say I am very disappointed with the sound quality of FM as well as my ipod using the itrip. XM sounded pretty good and i had no cd's with me. Does anyone know if the sound quality of the musiclink is significantly better than with the itrip? Or could it be that my old 20GB ipod isn't that great? I have read all the poor reviews on the musiclink for the ipod but would get it if the sound quality is dramatically better. I just feel with the price of the car the sound system should blow me away. Thanks in advance!!!! |

Havent seen much for New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta... I am looking for TL, Auto, Nav. New Orleans area has not been competative. So I am looking to other markets. I do want to take advantage of the Acura financing. The best I have so far is OTD at 32,600 (not including my local taxes). This does include the "protection package". Any experiences would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill |
