What I've done in the past is what many of the people on this board have done - that is, basically, email the Internet Manager, get an email quote and go to the next dealer and ask "by how much can you beat this price?" or words like that. We in the LA area have the luxury of many car dealers in the greater metro LA area that want to make the sale. I hope this helps. |

I'm getting ready to purchase a TL w/o Nav in the DFW area. I've received several quotes and they all state the invoice is $31,305 (not the $30,999 on Edmunds) - due to some advertising/marketing fees? Is this fee valid? What are some of the OTD prices paid in DFW? At what dealership? I've been told by some dealers you can combine the financing and $1000 incentive and others you can't. |

Replying to: jas8 (Aug 05, 2006 7:45 pm) I paid $32300 + TTL for TL w/navi which included pro package at Sterling McCall. The OTD price was $34481. There were three dealers in houston area that were pretty close to this deal. This comes out to $500 less than the invoice. The only crook in Houston Acura dealer field was Gillman Acura who wanted $1000 over invoice and was pointing me to Edmunds site TMV prices. I sent him the link to this site just to show him that he was not dealing with an idiot. I was also told by my sales guy that in DFW, you might be able to get about $200 less than the Houston market. I hope this helps others looking for their TL.

My first post! This site rocks! I loved being single and I loved my lady magnets. I've owned a Benz E-320, Porsche 911, and now lease a 2 door Infiniti G35. But now that I'm happily married AND have a kid on the way, I'm trading in the sports cars for the...er... "family" vehicles. My wife (God bless her), needs a solid navigation system (the G35 nav is awful). I love her to death but she could get lost in a supermarket. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Acura's have the best? I understand that they have or WILL HAVE up to the minute traffic reports ON the nav???? We live in Los Angeles and traffic stinks. My question is, after reading about 12 pages of wonderful material, do I lease the TL now in 2006 with the great discounts (but bad rates), or wait until the end of the year (my G35 lease is up EOM so I'll rent a car for a few months)when the 2007's are out (albeit at a higher rate)? Also, am waiting on the 2007 MDX - They're trying to give away the 2006 models, but the 2007 suspension and other bonuses look way too intriguing and much more appealing than their competitors. I appreciate the advice. I'm off to the Thousand Oaks auto mall to look at BMW'S (X3, X5) and the Infiniti's (G35 4 door), and even the Mercedes C series. In the end... the wife always wins! I appreciate any feedback. Newbie, bgk
