Okay, here is the current deal that I'm looking at from Mike Hale in SLC, UT 06 Acura TL w/o Nav Selling price - $32,473 Money factor - 0.00270 & 59% Lease end value - $20,024 36 month lease w/ 12K miles/yr So for $1500 OTD = $507 plux tax For the 42 month lease it goes down to $489 plus tax This seems about $20-30/month too high. Agree?

Thanks for responding on my last message. Was at Spitzer Acura in Pittsburgh (Super Bowl Champs) and was offered the following deal. 2005 TL w/o Nav for $31,200. That's about $2k off the sticker price. The car has 6,600 miles on it. Acura increases the standard warranty by that much if I purchase it. I'm thing the car is really worth about $28k since it is a demo and a 2005. Am I out of line asking them to go to that number, or should it be less. Thanks for the advice - Joe |

joe, I think you would do better with a new 2006. I paid $600 over edmunds invoice for a non-nav 2006(about $31,600)in the Minneapolis/St paul area, where we have three dealers and two of them have common ownership. Therefore, there isn't a ton of competition. how many dealers are there in the pittsburgh area? My advice is to email the internet sales guy at all the dealers within a hundred mile radius and ask for a price on an 06 non nav in your color choice. I think you will do almost as well as what you have been quoted for the 05 demo (and it will be worth more down the road). good luck |

Replying to: hockeyguy5 (Mar 21, 2006 9:01 am) IMO the selling price isn't outstanding. People are getting TL's w/nav for just a few hundred over that. But if the Acura dealers are stingy in UT then I guess you have no choice other than drive a long way to get a better deal... Good luck with the purchase. |

A 2004 Acura TL or a 2003 BMW 325xi. They are all with 25,000 miles. Thanks. |

The price is too high, unless there's no competition in the Pitt area. I paid invoice a year ago for a brand new '05 non-nav TL. Got invoice quotes from two different Boston area dealers. You're being quoted on a year old USED car, so your $28k price seems more reasonable. CHeck pricing here and kbb.com for more pricing ideas...

| Is it really worth it to request quotes over the internet, such as using the request form here on Edmunds.com? I'm tempted, but I wonder if I'm just opening myself up to being nagged by a bunch of salespeople. | |
