I've been shopping around for the Black TL Navi (manual transmission) for a while now and I have a tight budget to work with. I got a quote from Acrua Valley Stream for $32,989. I was trying to wait until the end of the year to see if I could pick up something on the cheap. Has anyone out there gotten a TL w/Navi closer to $30,000 in the NYC/Tri-State Area? Acually, I'm trying to stay around $30,000 with all the taxes and other charges added. Am I being delusional? Since the dealers are going to need to start pushing the '06, I was hoping to get something I want for much less. Any suggestions out there? Thanks!

Replying to: elvis4prez (Oct 18, 2005 9:06 pm) On Sunday night, the Rosenthal salesman called and said someone who had just bought a gold TL w/nav had turned it back it, decided to buy an "06. I said I would come out on Monday afternoon and look at it. Before I did, I went back to see the manager of Chevy Chase Acura, because it seemed they had a larger inventory (guess why) that Rosenthal. I asked the manager if e had a 2005 that would suit me and that I was willing to pay $33K for it, total cost. He said that was ridiculous and turned back to what he was doing. The salesman at Rosenthal took me to the lot to show me the gold car with automatic. I said I was still interested in the black exterior stick. (I had convinced the wife that with the parchment interior, the black exterior would look great and she relented, she just didnt want black in and out). I decided at that point that i didnt love the gold, especially after the salesman said that the guy who turned it back had decided HE didn't like the color. A few moments later I had bought the car at the price I had in mind all along. The guys at Rosenthal couldn't have been any nicer, I never felt they were playing any games, and they seemed motivated to sell cars. I understood now why they had no 2005 cars and Chevy Chase had many. And that, as they say, is the rest of the story. |
