I bought a Pilot from Arizona (for all the same reasons you note) sight unseen and had it shipped. It arrived at my front door as promised about 10 days later. I'm also considering a fly and drive to include SF and the wine country on the way home. thanks.

Replying to: arobs22 (Aug 04, 2005 6:44 pm) I test drove, among others, the TL & G35 sedan. Reading the posts on this site really helped me with pricing. I got my TL Blue/ Camel with Navi for $31,802 + fees for an OTD of $34,646. For the TL with Navi it seems as though anything at or under $32,500 is good. However, this depends on where you live, availability, dealer competition, etc. A similarly equipped G35 is far more expensive than the TL and I really enjoyed the way the TL drove so paying the extra 5-7k for a RWD car was not worth it to me. The TL is a whole lot of car for the money. Make sure you go through the internet department when negotiating. As far as leasing vs. buying, you will have to draw your own conclusions in regards to what you can afford to pay monthly, amount of money to put down, whether or not you drive alot, keeping a car for several years vs. getting a new car every few years, worrying about maintainance issues, not having equity in your car, tax consequences e.g. writing off the car payments as a business expense, etc... As far as waiting for October, again you will have to draw your own conclusions. There are deals to be made on a TL NOW. With the 06's around the corner, you need to decide which model year you want first. If you wait till October, the selection of 05 TL's will vastly be lower. There might be better deals to be made then on a 05??? Dealers might not budge off of the 06 MSRP that they are doing now on the 05's? I really didn't explore aggressive negotiating over the G35 after driving the TL. Hope this info helps. -Joe |
