There was around 10 dealers with in two and a half hours from me, I emailed everyone for a price, then work the list down to the top three, and I hate to say it but I played them against one another for three to four days, I was blown away that the dealer in Ft Pierce (Rick Starr) beat every other deal I had. Jacksonville was at 35,600 otd, and West Palm was around 35,350 otd. I called the ft pierce dealer and told them I wanted to buy from them, and I knew they had the car that I wanted and the sales Mgr said OK. My sales tax is 7%, Base price was 32,600, but they threw out the dealer fees to get down to my price. BTW what a freakin awesome car, I love it, and if you guys ever need any mods like car cover or a bra check ebay, saved a lot of money buying my extra things from ebay. |

A car salesman I know, told me a couple days ago to beware about new cars with lots of miles, but being sold as new. Supposedly, if the new car has more than 100 miles on it, its supposed to be considered used, and therefore you should be able to negotiate a better price on it. At least that was in CA, but I guess that would be general for all states.... These cars might be taken for demos, and accumulate mileage over time... so for those of you that are geting low quotes on your TL's.... just don't forget to ask how many miles does the car have! The low quote might be attractive, but there might be a reason for it. Well this might or might not be very important, but its a good thing to know, since most of the time, everyone assumes that they are getting a new car.... well its like buying a used car from a dealer and assuming it never had any accidents, just because the dealer is selling it... just take some time to chit chat with the mechanics on the back and they will tell you a few things that happen with the cars, that the dealer won't necessarily disclose.
