hey guys, i recently got a new job out in Tuscon Az, and i'm in the market to buy a new 2005 tl, im just wondering if you guys can pitch in some advice on where i should purchase and if there is any advantages of purchasing in each state, im currently residing in so cal right now and will be leaving sometime early august. Im hoping that you guys can shed some light as to how much yoru car was in AZ or in CA. I called the dealer in Tucson and he said 33900 for a TL w/ navi. Not sure if it's high or not. I would also like to get quotes for cars with navi and automatic, thanks. Joe |

Today I got quotes from various dealerships around me in Texas. Most of the quotes are pretty high as I was expecting, but after talking to some of the internet managers on the phone, I noticed they were not so thrilled about taking an offer bellow $33k.... I suspect the reason for this is because its just the first days of the month, and they think they might be able to get more money for their cars in the next couple weeks.... so they don't seem to be very eager to give up their cars at less than $33200, which is around $700 or so over invoice. Lowes quote I got today for this car was $33199, and highest quote was $34000. At this point, I'm not sure if to continue bargaining, or just wait till the hunger kicks in...

Replying to: nightcrawler29 (Jul 02, 2005 9:22 pm) I live in Vero Beach, FL. There was around 10 dealers with in two and a half hours from me, I emailed everyone for a price, then work the list down to the top three, and I hate to say it but I played them against one another for three to four days, I was blown away that the dealer in Ft Pierce (Rick Starr) beat every other deal I had. Jacksonville was at 35,600 otd, and West Palm was around 35,350 otd. I called the ft pierce dealer and told them I wanted to buy from them, and I knew they had the car that I wanted and the sales Mgr said OK. My sales tax is 7%, Base price was 32,600, but they threw out the dealer fees to get down to my price. BTW what a freakin awesome car, I love it, and if you guys ever need any mods like car cover or a bra check ebay, saved a lot of money buying my extra things from ebay. |
