I am getting an acura TL with NAV for 33300 with protection package which is worth 300 from an Austin dealer. Is this a good price?

Also any suggestion on the colors??? I am leaning towards anthracite with quartz interior??? But i like the silver with ebony and black with bacl also.

Opinions are welcome.

Thanks

Just got a quote for a 2005 Acura TL at Gillman Acura in Houston, TX:

non-Navigation System - $31,800 + TTL. MSRP was listed at $33,670.

Anyone shopped these in Houston recently? Does this sound like a fair deal?

Thanks to this forum I just bought a 2005 TL auto with NAVI for $32500+TTL from John Eagle Acura in Houston TX (June 24, 2005). I came to the dealership and basically told them that I will not pay more than $32500 for the car, and after the salesperson came in and out of the manager's office for 3 times, he finally let me have it for that price. You could probably get a non-navi for $1500-$2000 less. Don't forget to ask for free floor mat, wheel lock, and window tint. You will also get 6 free oil changes if you buy from them.

I think the best time to buy a new car is at the end of the month, when they are willing to sell cars at minimum profit to get a bonus from Acura. If the salesperson asked you where you get this info, just tell them you get it from the buyer who got a SPEEDING TICKET when test driving the car. LOL

My advise: get the one with the navigation. It's so cool.

I think the important thing is the OTD price. I don't know what your taxes are like, but I got an offer for $32,488 for a TL with nav and pp1 package. OTD was $35,676. I bought it from a local dealer for $34,975 OTD and the base price was $32,671. I emailed everyone and said I wasn't going to pay over 35k for the car, and the local dealer ended up giving me the price I wanted. BTW get the NAV system, I am a tech junkie and I love it.

Car Treatment Offers for TL by danderson1

Should I purchase the TST? No wax offer for $399? Also, what about the leather protector for $299? I agreed to TL w/ NAV, mud, moon visor, all weather mats, for $2500 off of the sticker. I used the consumer reports pricing list, but we only have one dealer within 30 miles, which makes negotiations difficult. OTD at $35,700, but they need to get it from an out of state dealer. It appears some area's offer more power to negotiate because of the number of dealers.

In the car business, they call that the Mop 'n Glo... $700 for a wax job and leather conditioner... You can find a local detail shop that will do it for $200 or less...

It is just a big profit generator for the dealer.. take a pass..

So true, it's just a detailing job, shouldn't be so expensive.

kyfdx:

I found a website providing car leasing service. For an Acura TL w/ navi they quoted $449 for a 39 month/12k mil lease term with $0 down. I only need to pay lic, doc fee. Almost all other leasing companies or dealer offer around $100/moth more than they do for the same kind of term. What's your comment? Is there anything might be hidden?

Thanks in advance.

If a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Kutu, I went to John Eagle today and they pretty much said you lied about paying $32,500 for the TL with Nav and that they won't go under $33,500. I'm pretty sure they are blowing smoke.

Can you tell me who you dealt with at John Eagle? You can email me at jmyoung67yahoo.com
