Is this price for TL with NAV in AUTO? I was interested in Manual which seems unavailable in Texas.

1) Resale

2) The sunroof in the Maxima goes the wrong way..

3) What is up with that schnozzola on Nissans?.. yuck.

4) The powerplant in the TL is a little more refined.. much smoother, IMO.

5) Longer basic warranty on the TL.. 50K vs. 36K.

I don't see any risk in an '05... The '06s will probably have a price increase, and sell closer to MSRP at least until December, and you have a nice price on the '05.

Just my $0.02

Yes, this was for auto, not manual. The dealership was Vandergriff in Dallas. This was from one of the internet guys.

Keep in mind that it was the end of the month and earlier in the year (Jan-Feb) when sales were not good...

Good luck.

One dealer quoted doc fee of $193 and another quoted doc fee of $209; so they're both the same.

I'm driving three hours to pick up my Acura TL (w/out navigation) from Jay Wolfe Acura in Cleveland. They quoted me $30,900 + TTL and 60 months financing at 4.9%. The next best deal I received was $32,000 from a dealership closer to home.

That's an excellent deal. 32,000 is too high. In the San Francisco I got mine for 31,000. The wholesale is is about 30,000, the 900 extra you are paying is the hold back. Like I said, an excellent deal.

Are you talking about Cleveland, OH??? Is Jay Wolfe Acura also called Acura of Cleveland?

I thought the only two in Cleveland are Motorcars Acura and Acura of Cleveland.

I'm not sure the difference is worth 5 grand. I think it was in the 3-4 grand range last December. I was down to that same choice. I agree with most of kyfdx points. I chose TL over Max because of:
1)DVD sound
2)satellite radio
3)6 sp tranny
4)build quality
5)sharp interior
6)better fuel economy
7)better ride/handling
8)premium nameplate (this is probably least important, but shows up in resale).

I think both are fine cars though.

Acura Care Extended Warranty by delmar1

When I purchased my TL this week, the extended warranty of 7 years / 75,000 miles (above the standard 4 years/100,000 miles with no deductible was made available at $985.

Basically I am picking up three years of additional coverage for close to $1,000. There is always the chance that I could incur some large repair cost to exceed the $1,000...but there is always the chance I won't.

What are the thoughts here? Is it worthwhile to get the contract and is the price worth it?

4 years is a long time before the warranty kicks in.. Depending on your driving habits, you might not get the full value of the extended warranty..

You can always wait... You can buy the Acuracare warranty from any Acura dealer at any time before your original warranty expires..

kyfdx
