No I haven't gotten any responses from anyone in the Phoenix area. And no, we haven't bought the car yet. We put in an offer of 32,500 before TTL to one dealer, but he said he probably couldn't do it, but would check with his manager. That was a couple of weeks ago (end of April--thought he would want an end of the month sale), but we still haven't heard back. Not in any real rush to buy, but would if the price was right. We might considering flying to CA to buy and driving back. Postings on here from CA seem to be getting a good deal. Would still love to hear from anyone that has bought the TL recently in the Phoenix or Tucson area.

Flying to SF is cheap, and you could make in a vacation, and save 1 ro 2k on your car. Plus it's getting warm now in AZ, and soak up some SF fog.

Well, I bought my second TL. I sold my DM 04 last august for $29,000 (10k miles) since I had a little financial wrinkle. Now I go for a 05 and the market has changed big time! I walk in and dealer immediately remembers me and says yeah these are around invoice plus a few hundred. So I offer $31,000 with tint, splash guards and MIchelin tires Pilot A/S. I told them my tire saga on the 04 and that Acura replaced the nasty EL42 with "new" formula EL 42. My big hangup was the hydrplanning and flatspotting.
Anyhow, the tires immediately muddied the waters. They wanted $600 to switch as only $120 trade in on 4 -EL 42 ($200 at tire rack x 4) . I said well why not do this, the Navi has a lesser quality Michilen MX4 pilot how about do a switch as nothing says the navi comes with this tire.
After a little bulking and two hours later they call me and say OK if I pay $80 to switch. A little chessy charge but this way no rim damage from monkeys at tire shop putting on all new rubber.
Silver/black since I wanted new colors from my 04 DM.

Hi a64marc,

I am in southern California and looking for a base model TL. Is it possible that I can get more info on the 30,500 price? If it is an email quote, can you forward the email so I can get my local dealer match it? Thanks

The best I got was 5.49, is that good? It seems a little high to me.

Thanks for the input! I am eligible to join a credit union, so that's what I am going to do.

It looks like I will be going to Chicago at the end of the month. Bloomington Acura said they couldn't come anywhere close to 32,500 but could probably come down 'a couple of hundred'. Of course that is still thousands more then outside this area. I've gotten good quotes from Libertyville and Pauly in Chicago. Higher quotes from Woodfield and Napleton but haven't started to negotiate. I also requested quotes from WI but got no response. I'll post my final cost/dealer later.
