Replying to: bargn_hntr (Apr 27, 2005 9:28 am) I got my car at the Radley Acura on Columbia Pike. The Va sales tax is 3%. I dealt with a dealer from Gaithersburg and he basically told me that the difference between buying in MD versus VA is a couple of hundred dollars (in line with what you are saying). I think the difference is the 'processing fee' and the 'dealers business license tax'. The salesman also told me of the county-specific 'gross proceeds tax' that I do not see on the final bill of sale (which could be the business tax). I also dealt with the Chantilly Acura and I think you can get the same deal as from Radley in Falls Church. Radley also throws in 'life time' oil changes, . I think the Chantilly Acura throws in the first oil change. Free loaner car in both places. I went with Radley because they are closer to where I live and it is easier for the servicing. Good luck. |

Replying to: tokash (Apr 25, 2005 12:50 am) I'm trying to buy the same car in Northern CA. The dealer won't play ball unless I have something in writing. Can you help me out? Do you have anything in writing that you can fax me. I'll gladly compensate you for the info via PayPal. Please reply if you can help me!! Thanks! wyldmike |

These are the following quotesI got which includes destination charges for Acura TL with NAV. In some locations they have a slightly jacked up price for the Manual. Chevy Chase, MD - $32999 including splash guard and wheel lock Norris West, MD - $33160 Pohanka - 33305+570 Rosenthal - 32955 (Auto), 33355 (Manual) Any suggestions on the price. Can it be pulled down a little more. The invoice price with destination charges is 32555. I know that Acura has $1000 cash back for every TL. |

I just purchased my first Acura last night in Chapel Hill, NC. I got a white/tan 2005 TL, with body side moldings (negotiated that in), mud-flaps, trunk tray: off the lot price was $32,700 (so this included tax, tag and fees). My overall experience was excellent; the only thing bothering me is that they didn't even wash the car before I took delivery (the pollen and dust are pretty bad this time of year); so it stifled the feeling of driving home in a "new" car.

Replying to: kaushikg (Apr 28, 2005 7:44 am) Chevy Chase Acura (MD) sent me this latest quote for 05 TL auto w/nav. MSRP: $35,670.00(includes $570.00 destination) Your Price: $32,905.00 $990.15(Va. sales tax) $70.00(new Va. tags) $100.00(processing fee) Total O.T.D Price:$34,065.15 So what do you think about the final price? Is there room to negotiate below that - how realistic should I be in this negotiation. All feedback appreciated.
