Hello Everyone, I would like to thank all of you for posting your experience with dealers. It definitely helped me decide on my car.
I got a quote for 05 TL 6MT w/NAV Anthracite/Ebony
MSRP - 33670
Mud Guards,Wheel lock, Trunk Trays - 302

The dealer is willing to take 1200 off MSRP. Is this a good offer?
Also, the dealer is in a different state. What are the problems that i might face going for a out-of-state dealer? My local dealer is not willing to negotiate a good price.

Thanks
vinpo

Isn't the MSRP for the Nav model over $35K? Better check your figures..

The MSRP you quoted is for the NON-Navi model.. fyi.

Most people seem to think a good deal is $2000-$2300 off of MSRP.. at least from reading this discussion... I have no personal experience..

I'll add to that. Your price of $32,470 is not good in comparison to what others have reported on this discussion. I highly recommend you read the last several weeks worth of posts on this discussion. I read back 8 weeks. I think it will give you a better idea of what the true market is.

You will also read about the out-of-state issue.

Good Luck! You will love the TL.

In the SF bay area I got quotes of 2,000 below MSRP, and other dealers said they would beat that.

TL shopper needs So Cal pricing info by baldzoro

I've done my homework, gotten five quotes via email. Before I start to press real hard, I'd like to know what the lowest price has been for a TL with Navi. All Acura dealers in the area ad the "Pro Pack" immediately. I refuse to pay for any of that - I just ignre and demand that they throw that in. Given that, what the bet price to be had in So Cal area. Willing to drive a ways to get the best price.

Hi:

I am in NY and I was told the very same thing. As they get closer to the new releases in September, the replenishing of stock does not occur. It sounds good but you never know how much value to put into statements such as those. I was given that info after telling the salesman that I wasn't looking to make a purchase right away. Bottom line, take your time.

I'm just staring the hunt for a non-Navi 6-speed TL and thought I'd share my info from dealers (e-mail quotes) that have responded to my inquiries.

Metro Acura: $31,300 (inc. dest. and Acura Protection package) + tax and tags
Piazza Acura: $31,200 (inc. dest. and Acura Protection package) + tax and tags
Castle Acura: $31,300 (inc. Acura Protection package but not sure if dest. is included) + tax and tags and fees (also not sure what "fees" are) I'm asking for clarification from them.

I think these prices are pretty good, are they?

Some have mentioned that the Bridgestones are not that great and maybe the dealer would swap them for Michelins for a hundred bucks or so. Any luck with this tactic? Also, do the TL Navis come with a different tire (and I'm not talking about the Bridgestone summer tires)?
