| I should have added in my previous post that I had a bid from Libertyville Acura for the red/parchment TL I wanted. They said the car would be in any day, but their price was higher than Pauly Acura and they wouldn't match or beat them. The funny part is the car actually did come in to Libertyville, then Pauly Acura traded them for it and sold it to me for a lower price than L-ville's bid. I'm sure Libertyville is a good dealer, but in my case they were not as competitive as Pauly Acura was. Best of luck. | |
I just returned from a Sacramento-area Acura dealer, who told me that the number of 2005 TL's available starting next month (May} will be less because Acura always starts reducing their production this time each year. Anyone ever hear of this, or is this just another way to try to influence me to buy now? Thanks.

Replying to: jordan5 (Apr 14, 2005 9:13 pm) I would just ask the dealer how much are you willing to go above the invoice? Current invoice in at 32555. If they are telling u other wise, that's full of BS. Tell them u don't need that extra "performance package" with wheel locks, mud guards, and trunk mat. Chances are they'll throw those in if u are firm. I had 3 quotes that were willing to quote at $32,655, however 2 of them were 60 miles from where I live. The terrible thing was I got screwed by a broker near my place, that I almost ended up paying more on the cap cost and money factor, if I didn't break down and read all the numbers correctly. Anyway, I pull the deal out even after it took him 2 weeks to find my Desert Mist/Parchment combo. Now I'm back in the market looking for a another quote similar to what he quoted. |

Replying to: da_bien1390 (Mar 30, 2005 5:51 pm) did you lease or buy? I got a quote from them too. but I'm asking them for a purchase price, to be used for cap cost. Normally in the Alhambra/Pasadena area prices are very competitive. |

Replying to: richardthegrea (Mar 19, 2005 10:42 am) so have you bought the TL with nav yet? I live in OC and I've quoted by 10 surrounding dealers, and it's a chunk of difference btwn dealers. Wonder if it's better in LA since there's more demand? pls advise. thanks.
