Replying to: hcjh (Mar 10, 2005 9:28 pm) My advise for you would be: 1. Always deal with internet sales rep. This means you need to do some online dealings, get some quotes, and emailing back and forth. This is definitely worth of your time. I find that a lot of dealers are not willing to give you a quote through email. Most would call you and ask you to come in. Tell them that you would come in if they give you a quote first. The whole point is to compare and shop and get them to play price war. you can't play the game without a quote. This process should shave $1500 off MSRP easy and hopefully more! 2. Read www.carbuyingtips.com before you step into a dealership to buy a car. Knowledge is a powerful tool. I felt a lot more comfortable and confident about how I'll deal with the dealer after reading it. 3. Don't pay more than 500 something over invoice for the TL. That's how much I paid for my TL with Nav and I bought it with my first visit to a dealership(after many hours of research at home of course). I bought mine at Los Getos Acura. The internet sales over there is very nice and very pleasent to work with. Please don't believe that we have low supply of cars in the Bay Area. There are 7,8 dealerships in the area, and I believe new cars are shipped to them often. Just be patient with your research, take your best quote to a nearest dealer and have them beat your quote. If they can't, go to next nearest dealer. There are plenty of dealerships to go to and they hate to see you leave, seriously!! Anyway, I hope this help and best of luck. |

Replying to: crazy88 (Mar 14, 2005 3:23 pm) carbuyingtips.com is a great site! Since I have had to wait 3 months for my car and I have read so many complaints about vehicle vibration, I am beginning to reconsider buying TL at all! How many miles on yours? Any vibration? |

| I got a quote for $31,695 plus tax and registration fees for a Black 2005 Acura TL (Six Speed with Performance Tires, NO Nav) in Los Angeles. Is this a good deal for the area? Thanks | |

Replying to: acuraornot (Mar 14, 2005 4:10 pm) '05 owner here. No vibration issues. "So many complaints..." or just so many complaints from a few posters on Edmunds? How many '04 & '05 TLs have been sold to date and how many of those owners have NOT complained (or experienced) of vibration? I don't doubt some owners have an issue and that is a shame as the TL is a fine piece of work. I don't think I've read one negative review of the TL (other than the fact it is FWD!) from any publication. Edmunds names it best in class, Motor Trend (or was it R & T?) just did a glowing long term update of their '04 with no mention of vibration. I'm not thrilled with the Bridgestone tires, but that's about it for my complaints. Have you driven an '05 and noted the vibration issue?
