Hey, I just called the dealer I spoke to to ask them about the 1.9%, and they said they were mistaken earlier... apparently it is 2.9% for 24-60 months. I think your dealership is quoting you the right info.

Sorry about the wrong info on my earlier post. Good luck with buying the car. What price did you end up getting it for?

cashville, make sure you get a pricing report. Start out by clicking the "used cars" tab at the top of the page, and the process should be evident.

In order for anyone to help you, you'd have to let us know in which part of the country you're shopping! City and state, as the market varies from area to area.

$30,995 for 05 TL by deusexmaxima

I recently sold my '01 Maxima to get a new TL. I talked to Santa Monica Acura about the Costco Auto Program deal, which they quoted at $31,652 ($1100 over invoice). They came back a week later with a price of $30,995, saying that they had 42 TLs in stock and wanted to unload them before January. Needless to say, I took it. Leased for 42 months with nothing down (only drive-off), total per month is $450.97.

Usually Acuras go for more than $450 over invoice, so I think I got a hell of a deal. Call up Santa Monica Acura, they might still be feeling generous!

Here it is straight from HFS --->
"2004/2005 ACURA YEAR END SPECIAL AHFC APR
Special HFS (Honda Financial Services) A.P.R. financing available on all new 2004/2005 Acura models. 2.9% Super Preferred APR financing for 24 to 60 months".

Also, someone asked what I paid? I was quoted $33.5k plus VA tax (3%) and 2.9% APR. That was my first offer to the salesguy in MD over the phone and he went with it. I put a deposit and he was suppose to acquire the car from another dealership (that had the car - I told him where). He did not get it yesterday, but when I called the dealer that he was getting the car from they said it was there but sold already. GOOD sign, so I will let the board know the final outcome. It sounds too easy thus far. Call salesguy, get price negotiated in 5 minutes, get financing rate and go to dealership to complete paperwork and drive car home.

If it is true, I will praise the heck out of both the salesguy and dealership.

I assume the $33.5K quote is on a NAVI equipped TL?

Sorry, it is Navi/Auto (don't go there - wife doesn't want a manual) and no other add-ons. Will purchase those from HandA.

Is that a fair price? TMV is $200 below sticker for this region.

A dealer I have contacted in the past just sent me an email to say HFS is offering 2.9% financing (with approved credit) on all new Acura models purchased through Jan 5th 2005.

I purchased the TL at Thomas Acura in Covina. I dealt with the internet managers. Go to the Thomas Acura website by visiting the acura website. They were great. If not Acura of Downey and Alhambra Acura were willing to go $33,500 with Navi, destination, splash guards, wheel locks, and trunk tray. If you get a great deal from either of these dealerships, i would suggest you talk to someone at Keyes because they say they will beat any offer you get. Hope this helps.
