I echo everything stated above by don219. Mine had the 18" wheels.
If you can afford the extra $2.5K to get the bigger engine and SHAWD, do it. It is like driving two different vehicles. If you get 0.9% financing over 60 months, that's about $45 per month. Well worth it, IMO.
I also really like the Body Side Molding. It really adds a nice line to the vehicle. I didn't see the need to add 19" wheels... only adds to the cost of tire replacement later down the road also (I would imagine). Four days in and I'm loving this car!

I paid $37,850 3 months ago for exactly what you got. I still have my Honda Pilot for my trips to the 4x4 fun Desert or Home Depot, but what a JOY it is to drive the SH-AWD every day. I was having so MUCH FUN, that I went out and purchased a Escort 9500iX radar detector, so I could continue to have even MORE FUN!!!!

As a female one of our worst nightmares is buying a car so any advice other than mother would be most aprpeciated. I am currently leasing a 2008 TL and thought of buying out the end of the lease for 24,000 and change. I am currently being asked to consider a new TL which I would get AWD due to need to work during snow and tech package. My quotes are between 36, 753.00 and 36, 962. (not including MV, tags etc. I would love to get into a new car with more options however unsure if I am getting a good deal and if there will be some hidden tricks I won't be ready for. I would appreciate any thoughts or advice. PS I'm in Jersey if that makes a difference.

First off, are you happy with your 2004? If yes, why get into higher payments?
Look at the residual on your lease agreement and try to knock off a few dollars.
Secondly, if you really want the AWD TECH that they are offering you and your pockets are deep enough, go for it. The prices they are quoting does not seem to include destination, ask the sales rep to be certain. If it does include destination, those quotes are ridiculously low for the AWD TECH. I paid 37.9K last summer and I did a lot of reaserch and visted a lot of dealers-even in Jersey, I am from CT.
Good luck on whichever way you choose to go.

I agree. If you can afford it, go with the SH-AWD. Haven't met a corner I didn't like and the drive to work is so much better!
I got the 19" wheels, but in FL no snow to worry about. I too was worried about replacement costs with the 19's but called around to several tireshops before I bought my TL and the difference was minimal, about $50-200 more for a set of 4 tires (depending on the brand) when compared to the 18". And the 19" rims look so much better....IMO.
#11342 of 12077 Father's Day Present
Jun 09, 2010 (2:49 pm)
An Acura dealership in Houston, TX just quoted me $35.900 OTD for an 2010 Acura TL base model. I don't know if this is a good deal. I feel like it's just average.
Please let me know what you think. I'm getting this car for my husband as a Father's Day present.

Question for you BillyPerks...I am also from CT and I am shopping for TL SH-AWD with Tech pack and the price quotes I am getting are between $38,888 and $38,999 (not a big difference between them) with destination charges. Should I get better deal as returning customer? Thanks..divix
