Purchased 2010 TL SH-AWD/Tech by seadub

As per title

2010 TL SH-AWD w/ Tech pkg. Also included wheel locks and splash guards (dealership installs those on all TLs the minute they come in apparently).

Excluding Connecticut sales tax and DMV fees (which are fixed in CT), price was $41,500.

This dealership adds 9 months and 9,000 miles to warranty also.

If you figure the two accessories probably invoice around $200 and the dealer's conveyance fee is $350, price I paid for car is just under $41K. Which is $1,200 over invoice, more or less.

$41,500 is decently below Edmunds TMV for this vehicle in my area (TVM = $41,590 but doesn't include dealer/conveyance fees and the two accessories I got).

Am happy with deal, not one to try and squeeze every last dollar out of it, not worth the time and aggravation. Plus we're going with the 1.9% financing (36 mos.), hard to beat that if you can afford the monthly payments.

What is interesting as well is that this dealer sold at least 2 TL AWD/Tech pkg in the past 24 hours, not including mine. I test drove car twice in past two weeks and each time I went the same TLs were on lot. When I went in today I was going to use that against them ("you're not moving any of these") but whaddya know, suddenly they were flying out of there.

Can a Demo (never titled) be certified? And if yes, what are the benefits? Extra Warranty?

Thanks

if it's going to be certified they havce to offer you something beyond 'normal'. I think it's up to the dealer, according to company standards whether a car would be certifiable. I think a demo is a prime candidate.

no, because it's not used, and if it was used it would add cost to vehicle and you don't want that anyway unless your buying a chevy

Ann Arbor Acura in Michigan. they were nice to deal with. they added the protection package, changed the oil and did an inspection at no extra cost. the car is not certified

I dont mean to be rude in anyway, but those guys were nice to you because they sold you an overpriced car.

ive dealt with Ann arbor Acura, multiple times, they used every dirty trick in the book to hook me onto a car. If you see what others are paying, you coulda gotten an 10 model very barely a few more dollars. those AA acura guys were jerks to my wife and I. telling us come on down....quote me one price, then magically i "misheard" on the phone.

You bought an 09 model, that is demo'd, and fwd, in michigan that combination is literally worst kinda car to buy. If you compare AA acura to rest of dealers in chicago etc, they are always way overpriced, they wont budge because there's always someone misinformed willing to pay more.

Just got 2009 TL Base for 31,200 plus TTL. Very pleasant dealer and the deal done in 10 minutes. Having driven the car about 300 miles, feel satisfied and love the car

Thanks for your input. I live in Cincinnati OH and FWD is what I wanted. I looked around in KY, IN, OH and MI and this by far was the best price I got. I looked in this forum and didn't see anyone that have gotten a new 2010 for "few dollars more" than $33000. sorry for your bad experience
