I visited a dealership in the south (MS) and drove an Acura TL FWD (no tech package) that had 9300 miles on it. Sticker price 34900...
Had an Accord trade in....2004 Accord EX 61K miles (good condition)
He offered me 9,000 for my car and 22510 cash (this is NOT taxes and fees)
I thought this high for a car with 9K miles-- it is just at or below Edmunds, etc invoice prices for these cars brand new. (It was CPO)
Am I wrong to think it should have been a lower price?

Billy, glad you like the Zaino Products. I would expect the gray car to show 'more'. However, you have the shiniest, showiest white car in town! White doesn't show up well in daylight. I've had a few white cars and that's the main frustration with the color. However, I'm amazed at how well my TL shows in the daytime. I guess I like repeating: "shiniest white car I've ever seen"!

Never allow the discussion of a trade-in to enter into an auto purchase discussion until you have settled on the price of the "new" car. What is the Blue Book trade-in value for your Accord? Is the dealer offering you more, less, or average for your trade-in?
Assuming the dealer is offering you "average" trade-in value for your 2004 Accord, then the $22,510 doesn't sound too bad for the "used" TL. Acura TLs are among the slowest depreciating cars out there.

Actually, I have been using the product for quiet some years now (since 2002). I had the white diamond pearl 2003 TL Type S- that car was kept to perfection. My neighbors always compliment me on the upkeep of our cars.

Yikes 17 in town! I know that is what the car is stickered at but I'm spoiled with my 07 TL with 21 in town ( I manually calculate as I have found that the computer is always favorable by about 1.5 miles). Billyperks2 did you calc yours by hand or using what the computer shows? How do you do on the highway? or combination driving? Thanks any info is appreciated. I really like how the AWD and bigger engine handles but the 17 in town is a bit scary. Was hoping to pull 19+ in town if you try to time lights etc as best you can.

Mike- the car has only 700+ miles on it so maybe as the engine breaks in more the mpg gets better.I used the car's computer calculation and I only took the car on the highway three times in one month.I am babying this one, trying to avoid those nasty stone nicks and glass chips.Call me anal (my wife does) but I want to keep the bling on this for quiet some time.

Chas- what is your take on the new Grill and Trim piece for the back that Acura introduce for the 2010 models as an accessory item? They removed the Chrome and made it like a smokey granite color- its on thier web-site.

Don't blame you on 'keeping the bling'. I feel the same way. Hate the idea of stone chips, etc.
I looked at the grill, but the pic is bad. The body color of the car is off-can't tell if it's white or not. I think we need a better, full body pic, where one can change the colors of the car to get a full effect. I wouldn't buy it based on that one pic. Here's another 'alternative":

That after market grill is horrendous- I will never go that route.
The grill on my car is fine, I have owned the car for one month now and all I get is praise.I remember I was at a Gas Station and while inside paying the attendant, two guys came and asked if that was my car outside. They said it was the freshest thing on the road and I got the right trim (meaning the AWD).
