There's an Acura dealer in Cincinnati (Superior Acura) with at least 50 TLs in stock (3+ rows of them). Their web site lists 70 in inventory. Most were TLs w/Tech. About 6 were SH AWD. Anyone interested, I went browsing their lot last night (after closing). Had just about every color combo available.

Me too- I went up to Acura of Milford which is about 4 miles from where I live after closing. They have approximately 36 TL's in stock,around 7 SH-AWD with Tech and a few without the TECH. I dont think inventory is a problem, the dealers are just not dealing here in CT. I am willing to stick it out until Acura releases some kind of attractive incenive.But on the other hand, if I see a white diamond pearl with the HPT wheels, I might be willing to make a deal.

I think the data you are getting is not the whole picture or not accurate on the total inventory. The four dealers in Houston list just under 300 TLs in stock combined. Based on 3,300 nationwide, that implies about 9-10% of all TL inventory is concentrated in the Houston area, which while possible, is not really plausable. The total inventory also implies a 30 day supply which is not realistic.
Not sure if production has been stopped for '09 but I sense that the dealers are getting nervous on the TLs still sitting on the lots - but still trying to determine how much dealer cash Acura is kicking into them so I can get a real read on the right pricing for June.

You have to keep in mind.. Acura only sells two models in any volume, at all.. The TL and the MDX..
For a dealer to have 50-70 of each of those two models is not a huge amount... It's not a low supply, but if the dealership sells 50 cars per month, then 100 cars is only two months supply..

I too am hoping for some other incentive to come out while the low interest rate offer is still in place (through 7/6/09). Unfortunately I wasn't ready to buy before the $2k dealer cash offer ended on 6/1. Hopefully as soon as someone in this group finds out he/she would let the rest of us know. I am checking edmunds / incentives daily.

I think there is something on it. I got a quote under $32,000 + TT&L for the base model so it implies a $1,000 or so dealer cash incentive, or they are really willing to reach into holdback to dump these.
As far as the inventory situation, the local dealers all seem to have 50-90 of these in stock and I doubt they are selling 50 a month in this economy and based on the amount of people I've seen in the dealerships. The question really is at what point to they have to really start clearing these out for 2010 models, or will Acura delay that release?

Still waiting and watching...I received an email from a dealer today informing me that no "reasonable offer" would be refused. I was invited to name my price. Hmmm. Might just have to throw a number back at him to see what happens. You never know...
Also now looking at another vehicle (mid-sized SUV) that might actually work better for me. It's not the RDX - too noisy and the turbo charger lag drove me crazy during the test drive.

I sense that the Infiniti dealers are more motivated right now to move G37s than Acura guys are to move TLs. I will say this, one thing that Acura and Honda try to do is not put "cash in the trunk" if they don't have to in order to keep up pricing integrity and resale values. However, they happened to pick the absolute worst year to introduce a new TL with a non-traditional styling. I loved the car and the ride (although the G37 is nice and the seats I liked more) but I want to see the best deals i can get before I decide to pull the trigger on one or the other.

I went back and forth between the G37 and TL...ultimately feel the TL is the right choice for me (although the G37 is still pretty tempting) as the TL tech sound system is superior in my opinion, transmission shifts are smoother, and I like the styling of more. The 09 G37 is mid-generation (last redesign for 07) and we can expect a redesign in 2 to 3 years. Since I keep my cars long term...would prefer to go with a new model.
