I'm on the verge of leasing an '08 XLT FWD Escape with leather and sun/sat package. Ford is currently offering $2k off (I also have X-plan pricing), however, the dealer is telling me the offere is only $1500 for leased vehicles. I've haven't read this anywhere in the marketing literature. Am I being taken on this?

| Thanks Ford! After buying an '08 Tribute with no mechanical upgrades from my '05 model (though with much better interior), you decide to increase horsepower to 230 and add a 6-speed transmission for '09. Now I already feel like my car is obsolete after owning it only 6 months and even though it's a current model year car. | |
