Can't find THAT disclaimer anywhere. Anyone ever hear of this? I have to check a bit more... Also, I read that the engine sits higher in the '08. As a short person I'm concerned it'll curb my visibility. Has any short person driven this car? I'll go check it out tonight. |

I'm trying hard to decide what to do. I've got that REALLY good price on the '08 in a color I don't like. The test drive was fine except for a bit of a wobble I noticed as I changed lanes, so I'm going to drive it again. I like the car but if, as is mentioned elsewhere, Ford always keeps rebates at 5-6000 after a few months, maybe there's no rush to buy. What to do, what to do. Oh, the price is $16,500 for a manual base model...I'd love some advice from all y'all. I don't have to buy now, but the day will come (my car is 252,000 miles). Is this a price I can't refuse?

Replying to: jlupi (Jul 25, 2007 1:14 pm) What bothers me about the Tribute are the little things that are missing but that the Mariner and probably Escape have, like fuel economy calculator and outside temperature indicator, keypads on the doors, turning indicators on the sides, radio controls on the steering wheel, and no built in satellite radio. I don't really NEED any of these things but it would be nice to have them and there's no reason they couldn't have been included in the Mazda version since they're in the Ford and Mercury versions. Oh, and what's up with leather only on the top seating surfaces and not on the backs or sides of the seats? We're paying the same for the leather option as we would on other brands but getting it on less than half of the seat. Other than that, I'm happy with the '08 Tribute so far. |
