Interesting timing on your message as we have the exact same problem and have had it for about two years (we have an 07 Yukon XL). Every time we have taken it to the dealership they hook it up to their computer and say that they can't find anything wrong with it and can't replicate the problem during test drives. We're just about to hit the end of our 36k warranty and have noticed the problem getting worse to the point it seems to shift hard, or slip, multiple times while accelerating (especially on hills).

My wife finally insisted that the service technician ride with her and they quickly replicated the issue. He said it was a problem with the drivetrain. Well, she just got back from the dealership and is furious with them. Basically, they told her that the problem is that we drive it in "Auto" all the time and that we should always drive in the 2WD setting unless it's winter. We couldn't find anywhere in the Owner's Manual where GMC gives that direction. Anyway, they told her that there's nothing that they could do to fix the problem and that we'll just experience that 'slip' whenever we drive in Auto. I'm going to call GMC when I get home from work. Ugh!

Thumping noise in the wheels when I turn by luvmyukon

You can actually feel it more than what you can hear it. After I drive for a while when I turn in slow motion (like when parking) then the truck feels like if I have a flat tire and it is going over bumps in the road. We took it to the shop and they charged $1800 to replace the front rod but that did not solve the problem. When we took it back they tried several things but they were not able to figure out the problem. The mechanic at the shop took it to the mechanics at the dealership and they also did not know how to solve the problem. Does any one have an idea, help please!!! I love my Yukon but I am afraid I am going to lose a wheel one of these days.

Yeaah i dont think that has any thing to do with it. You should be able to drive awd or 2 wheel drive. I find it hard to replicate mine, it does it when it wants to. I wonder if its the u joint in the front.

I have the same problem with my 2004 Denali. Chipping paint on the Navigation and radio buttons. Anyone know if GMC responded to this issue or another solution.

I would really question them on the battery. Our 2007 Denali has gone dead at least four times. It will be starting/running fine, you stop to run in the store and try to start back up and it is dead. Leave it sitting and come back several hours later and it starts up just fine. OnStar tells us the battery is dead but if you disconnect it and test it, it tests fine. The last time it happened, I had it towed in to a local GMC dealer. By the time they got around to checking it, it started fine again. You can guess that we got the same answer you got, "could not reproduce the problem, no problems found". In my opinion, there is a major problem with the on board computer but I can't get the GM dealer to admit that or replace it. Maybe we should just sue!

In an interesting turn we now have charged the battery and replaced the negative cable. I have been checking the battery with a multi meter on a daily basis for over a week morning and night and the battery is reading 12 + volts each time. I am amazed but it would at least appear that this has fixed the problem. They said that the alternator charges the battery through the negative cable and a bad cable would prevent the battery from charging . Mine never would come back with out a charge or jump start, once it was dead it stayed dead.

Man ! I had a similiar problem a long time ago. The main power cable from the positive side in the fuse box with huge fuse. You will see connection tie together by nuts or some sort. sometime you have connection or you dont. I got this vehicle straight from the dealer brand stanking new. This may not pertain to your vehicle but i share your illness. good luck !!!

You have to insist on 800 CCA if they give you anything lower. Mine had a 700 CCA and I was having the same problem until I changed it for the bigger CCA battery.
