Replying to: graves111 (Dec 05, 2007 2:56 pm) My husband called the dealership and he was told that this vehicle "tends to have sensor problems". (one of the managers has the same vehicle). He told my husband to go back to the car, start it again and the problem should be gone. Amazingly enough it was and we haven't had that problem since. But when he took it to the dealer after they did find that the battery needed replacing and that was effecring the mirrors going down but they didn't say of this was the cause of the other problems.

Replying to: foggycreek (Dec 08, 2007 10:54 pm) My 2003 Denali was doing the same thing but GM sent out a letter that states if I was having such a problem to take it to my nearest dealership and provide them with the letter and they would fix it free of charge, which they did!! Replying to: foggycreek (Dec 10, 2007 8:58 am) I guess that many people were writting letters and calling about it so one day I get this letter in the mail telling me to take my car to the dealership if I was having a problem with the speedometer. I just had this done about four month ago.

I have an '03 Denali XL that I've taken to the dealership about 6 times to try to fix a door unlocking problem. When I use the remote to unlock the doors, sometimes it will unlock the driver door only. Then, when I hit the unlock button on the driver door itself to try to unlock the rest of the doors, it still doesn't work and the doors remain locked. The only way I can get the doors to open is to alternate hitting 'lock' 'unlock' 'lock' 'unlock' until the doors finally unlock. The dealership keeps telling me that they can't find anything wrong, but people have borrowed my car and experienced the same thing, so I know I'm not crazy. Has anyone had a similar problem and had it repaired? And if so, can you please tell me what the problem is so that I can finally clue in the dealership? Thanks! Other gremlins have hit my passenger side mirror (not opening back up after I closed them up when parking) as well as the volume on everything (even the turn signal!). It's enough to concern me, but I know it won't do any of this when I take it to the dealer and they'll just think I'm a freak.

I too have a 2004 denali which the speedometer broke, this was before recall, but thanks to all the people on this website that said they had problems too, the dealer took care of it. As for the other issues I can't help you, I have had nothing but problems with the whole truck and still are.

Hello folks Bought an 2003 Denali in April 07 have had no issues till today. I would start the truck and have non of the gauges respond ie. tac, oil, pressure etc. If i turn off and restart the gauges would respond. Then today the truck would start normaly as i am driving the truck would just turn off no warning etc. This happend a number of times today. Before i take it to the garage can anyone tell me if they experienced anthing simular to this. Mario

I have been trying to diagnose an issue I have with my 03 Denali XL. The rear speakers have no sound coming from them. In addition, the rear audio (head phones) do not have any sound coming from them when they are plugged in. I thought that the channel had been blown on my amp and replaced it only to find that was not the issue. I am wondering if it may be the head unit rear channels. The front speakers (door speakers, Tweeters, and Subwoofer) all play fine. The other possibility I have thought about is the rear audio control. It is as if the rear audio controls have been activated and only the rear speakers have been muted. Issue with this theory is the fact that the rear audio controls do not work either. Any idea’s how I can diagnose this issue?
