I cannot believe the messages I am reading. I had my 2007 Denali XL for one day and took it back and said, give me my 2005 back and I will buy a car from you.(They wouldn't do that) I have had 5 GMCs that I have loved and I knew that this one was WAY off immediately. I have a horse trailer. The new Denali has the hitch SEVEN inches higher than the old ones. I have spent 900+ to have two hitches made and my trailer remade to haul with this one. The lift leveler has only worked 3 times.(the manager and salesman jumped up and down on the hitch to make it work and then said "see it works!) The brakes squeek, the transmission is erratic. My trailer sways all over the road, which it has never done before. And yes, the service dept. says that everything is ok. I am petrified that my horses will end up on the road.

I bought my 2007 Denali and the next day I brought it back and asked my dealer to take it back, give me my 2005 Denali back and I would buy a car from them. I tow a horse trailer. The hitch is SEVEN inches higher than the old ones. I had to spend 900+ to have two different hitches made, & my trailer front remade. The leveler has only worked 3 times. The salesman & manager had to jump up and down on the hitch to get it work and said "see it works" The brakes squeek, the transmission is so erratic and makes noises. The service dept. says that everything is ok. My trailer sways and I am petrified that I am going to have my horses end up on the highway. I am thinking of getting an attorney involved. Does anyone want to do a class action suit?

I am having the same problem I also have a 2001 Yukon Denali. It seems to do the whole shaking-clunking thing when I have been driving for a while. At times when it is real bad I have to liturally do a 3 point turn just to get into a parking place. What is the reason for this. I also recently been experiencing clunking during take off. Does anyone have any advice please. I no longer feel safe driving my six children around.

I would like to know the part number too . So I can fix the peeling problem on each side of my glove compartment as well as, a couple different places around the radio. My husband owns a Gmc Sierra Truck and his interior is peeling in the same exact places as mine. Is the manufacture responsible?

I ended up paying $389 to get the oil sensor change out at a different auto shop due to the problems I had with my GM dealer. They would not even return calls. The sensor was all it was. I think the sensor was $60 and I paid another $ 20 to get it here by two day air since they told me it would be 2-3 weeks by normal shipping (from the GM dealer - I could not get an aftermarket one). The rest was the tow and labor. I should have done it myself but I was tired of messing with it and just let the dealer that towed it fix it. I sold the Denalli as I ran into more problems. Nothing major but it just seemed little electrical and small mechanical "bugs". This was our second one and they both had about the same problems. I did prefer our 02 better though. I have never (knock on wood) had problems with a dealer like this one. I recently purchased a new truck and a new car. Went with the Dodge Truck (Mega cab for the extra room) and a Ford 500. At this point I am very happy with both of them. I will not even concider a GM product again - for a while at least. They make a very nice and confortable ride but just don't have the service to back them up.

I found this website but HAVE ZERO experience with their kits. But it would replace all the rubbery painted components with a matching plastic hard wood grain trim.

2000 denali problems

I will never own another chevy or GMC again, I've been having problems with my front end on my Yukon. It vibrates like hell, it's rough over every little bump, it floats down the highway, and the outside of my tires are always wearing out. I took it to a GMGoodwrench here in colorado, they had it for a full day and when I went to pick up, all they wanted to do was change every fluid container in my vehicle. I didn't realize I brought it to a Jiffy Lube. Well the next day I took it to a Brakes Plus and they found that I needed 4 ball joints, idler and pitman arm replaced. My extended warranty thought they were full of crap, but the inspector they sent out said yeah replace it all.
Now why did the GM dealership miss this, did the mechanic not want to perform this work or are they incahoots with the extended warranty people?
Well I'm still having problems with it, it is so unsafe to drive down the highway that if you have 1 little distraction, your in the other lane. So I took it back to Brakes Plus and they admit there is still a problem, but they can't figure it out and they want me to see a GM experts. I respected that from since I didn't have to pay for everything to get replaced. Now I'm getting ready to go back to the GM experts and if they can't fix it, it will be the last GM vehicle I will ever own. Thinking maybe a Dodge or a Ford. I grew up with GM's my entire life, so this will be a big change for me. And my Denali only has 80,000 miles and the front end is wore out. And if can I want E1 to boycott GM and start looking at something else.
