I am about ready to purchase an RX330. I have two issues to resolve before I set out. First, I don't need the AWD but wonder if there is any reason to get it (resale, etc.) Also, I'm guessing most of the available models on the lot will have AWD? Second issue is the 18' wheels. I have seen some say the ride is harsher but the "look" is better, along with perhaps slightly better handling. My question is just how much harsher/noisier will the 18" wheels be? |

| What's on the lot depends a lot on where you live. Here in Texas about 90% of what's on the lots is FWD. However I looked in Denver in November and Cincinnati in December and EVERYTHING they had was AWD, so it depends on local market conditions. I don't think you'll find an RX 330 with anything other than the 18" wheels though. | |

visited today, 90% are FWD so no problem, that is really what I preferred and all have 18" wheels, again no problem I was quoted $37,600 in Birmingham for: FWD Premium Plus 2 level heated seats 18" towing package wheel locks cargo mat this is based on MSRP of $40,538 Based on my review of the board, a good price is more like $36,500. I will have to resort to out of town dealers. |

My dad's lease on his 2001 MB ML320 ends in early July 2004. He test drove the RX330 and really liked it. Would anyone who leases be willing to share their lease stats (down payment, monthly payment)? Back in early February the salesman gave us a rough estimate of $595/month with nothing down on a model with the Premium Plus Package, heated seats with rain sensing wipers, and the 18 inch wheels. Thanks! Matt |

The main variables in leasing are the agreed upon price (Capitalized Cost,) lease term and miles. You can find the Lexus Money Factor by asking over on the leasing board. You can also ask the resdidual % (as long as you give length of term and miles per year). The most important factor is the Cap Cost. You should be able to get the same deal as everyone else and that is the place you have the most negotiating power. |

At Johnson Lexus, FWD, Premium plus, memory, towing, auto wipers, racks, power rear door, special steering wheel. 18" wheels, mats, $37,000. I doubt I'd go across the street to save only $500. This isn't a game, it's only buying a truck! |

I picked up my RX 330 yesterday afternoon and they offered me several things which I declined. The price was as quoted for the options I wanted. If you want to see what options I got go to my posted messages. I had the windows tinted for the $39,000 (Do you know what they charge to do this?) and was told not to roll them down for 4-5 days. I didn't think about that and took the tow road home. I had to open the door, unseatbelt and throw in the quarters that my son-in-law had given me twice on the way home. I hope I can use regular gas and not have to buy premium since the price of gas is so high. |

Donna: Congratulations on your purchase! Please keep us updated on your opinion of the RX over the course of the next few months. Host: Hi Host Steve, I don't know where I would make this comment but just to through in my two cents. How about in the future Edmunds look into establishing a standard form for the 'Price paid and Buying experience Boards". In that way when one wants to pull up information on a specific model w/certain options etc. they can just do a search and pull up only the vehicles related to the ones they are interested in. For instance I have been following the board for a few months now monitoring prices paid for two vehicles. 1I find it daunting to have to go through and reread every post as they all do not pertain directly to the price of new purchases; or they aren't detailed enough to be useful to a future buyer. Maybe by standardizing this information it would be easier for us future buyers to decipher relevent information. If there is something like this in place already please let me know, thanks! |
