We purchased a 330 from Lexus of Jacksonville and they brought it 150 miles to my home. Details are Breakwater Blue w/light gray, FWD, Prem Plus, NAV, heated seats, 18" wheels, cargo mat. MSRP was $42,478 including shipping. Discount was $2,478. Delivery to my home, valet service for warranty or service, and valet service for our 2000 RX 300 (purchased elsewhere) are included. Bank financing at 3.44% for 60 months. They were very easy to deal with (I shopped all over Florida) and very nice people. Many of the details I learned on this board helped me greatly, so thanks to all who shared their experiences. Jay |

I put my purchase for RX 330 on hold since they would not pay any for my trade in - MB C280 - 98 - 54000 in excellent condition - they only want to pay 11500 for it. I was able to negotiate very good deal with 2 dealers for RX 330 with MSRP 40,128 - both able to offer at least 3500 off the sticker price. I guess will put mine onhold - hopefully somebody wants my car - |

...sell it yourself and find a buyer that's willing to pay you more. Pretty simple. Edmunds TMV for a '98 C280 with 54k miles, clean, no options beyond standard, is $14k on a dealer trade-in or $16k when sold to a private party. Obviously, the dealer is giving you the best deal they can on the RX330 and not holding any back to make you happy on the trade. So, to maximize both ends, sell the MB yourself in the $14-16k area and buy the RX330 at its offered price. Good luck. |

That's what the online car selling sites are for...when you have a small or non-existent local pool of possible buyers, expand your audience by using a service such as autotrader.com or cars.com. Check out their sites for your MB, say within 200 miles of where you live, and you'll see what I mean. Good luck! Remember the old car sellers saying, "There's a (masked profanity) for every seat!" |

| I thought it was also supposed to have increased performance, so it isn't all about just getting higher MPG. In that case, fuel savings do not need to mitigate all the added cost. | |
