Could you email me WHO you worked with at Lexus Longo ? One of the internet salespersons told me I could NOT obtain a base model as they could only get a RX 350 for a MSRP of 43K.

I live in So. Ca. What is the best price you have found for a RX 350 ? Have you been able to find a base model w/o all the options ?

As far as I know, they are correct that base model is not available. The car I bought from them is not a base model. I would like to clarify that the base price I mentioned means the price of the car I selected (with premium package and other factory installed options and accessories; MSRP OF 43K) excluding the cost of extended warranty, tax, title, and license.

Hi darballman,

Please look at my post #2928. Those quotes were for RX 350 based, MSRP~ 41,4**.00(based = base plus premium plus package in So. Cal, you can not get any thing less than that). The price I got from Mission Viejo was 35.5K plus tax, docs and $45 fees. Two days ago, I received another email from Lexus of Westminster which offered $35,787 for base model and $37,987.00 for base plus navigation. I would email those two dealers to see what their current best price is. After you have agreed on the purchase price, don't forget to ask for OTD price to avoid any last minute surprise. Best of luck to you.

To eeng168,

I hope this information can help you. My wife and I recently purchased a millenium silver Lexus RX350 (grey interior) with navigation, premium plus package, 18" alloy wheels, heated seats/rain sensor wipers, towing option, cargo mat, wheel locks and all weather floor mats for $40,749 (including destination charge, $715). Add to this 7% NJ state sales tax, NJ tire tax (7.50), documentary fees (199.00) and title fee/4-year registration fee (331.00). Grand total approximately $44,139. The MSRP was $45,706, so we were happy to have negotiated for a price ($40,749)almost 5K below MSRP. The deal was done over phone on Friday, October 13, and the car was ready as promised the following week; we picked it up on Saturday, Oct 21st. The dealership is Ray Catena Lexus in Oakhurst, NJ. They are a non-nonsense dealer and highly professional. I recommend them for getting a very good deal. Good luck with your car shopping.

Is this correct? by sender1

Hi, I negotiated a price on a 2007 RX350 with NAV etc for $40250. MSRP is $45705. I then had the salesman figure out the lease cost based on 36 months, 12,000 miles, no $ down (aside from taxes, 1st month, motor vehicle fees etc). He based this on a factor of .00163 and 57% residual. The number he came up with was $551.18 a month. I tried myself with the numbers a few times and I could not figure out how he came up with this. Any help would be appreciated as I am ready to make this deal. Thanks so much Another option is wait until end of Nov for December to Remember lease deals? Thanks for your help

So Cal buying experience by andrewfom

Questions for those of you who bought RX350 in So. Cal (in particular, at Longo Lexus and Mission Viejo):

1. The price quoted to you by the dealer (and that you mentioned in this forum) - does it include the destination charge or does the dealer add it later, when calculating the OTD price?

2. The documentation fee of $199 seems rather high for simple paperwork. Did you just accept it or negotiate too?
Did they add the Lexus Advertising Fee as well?

3. Were the all-season mats, cargo mat always included in the quoted config or did the dealer add those later, for a separate fee?

4. Has anyone here gotten a delivery of RX350 to a different state from So.Cal? How much did you pay for that? I bought an RX300 from Longo Lexus in 1999 for $1200 over invoice and paid extra ~$400 for the delivery to my door (in WA).

Thanks.

Sender1:
Based on the numbers you gave me, I came up with a payment of $502.46. However, that does not include TTL or acquisition fees. Assuming a 6% tax rate the payment bumps up to $532.61. Not sure what the acquisition fee is on this car, but if I assume $600, I come up with a payment of $551.31/mo.

If you have the other numbers (tax rate, license fee, title fee, acquisition fee), I can more accurately tell you if the dealer is above board.

04 RX330 Question by motorjock
Oct 27, 2006 (5:53 pm)
I found a 04 RX330 that is CPO w/16,871 miles on it. Nav, rear dvd and basically everything that I would want in a new one but don't wanna spend what they want right now. The dealership is asking $34,900. Edmunds says the trade in on it was about $28. I understand that making it CPO adds over a 1K. My question is do you think it's a good deal for a 04 with that low of mileage? It's a one owner that was traded in back to the dealership they bought it from. Also besides little tweaks is there that much difference in an 04 and 06 or 07. Such as can't the nav be updated for maps??? If it sounds like a good car, I'm hoping to get them down to high 31 or 32. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry, it's in the Dallas area. Here's some of the particulars
