So sorry to hear about this. They treated me like s*** too until I wrote a letter to Acura Client Services and got a case manager. Selling dealer was Cerritos and finally Downey took my car in. After that I only spoke with the Service Manager and they HAD to take my car (plus loaner provided free). I left it at the dealer for a week, they supposedly found nothing wrong with it but found that 2004 TSX's had similar problems. So because of that they changed all the relays and electrical junk under the hood (I don't know anything about cars either). The no start issue probably happened 3 times within the last 5 months after they fixed it, so I guess I'm happy with it.

I bought my car new also and this happened within the first month. I couldn't prove that it was a Lemon because I couldn't record the problem on tape like the attorney had suggested. I tell all my friends DO NOT BUY ACURA!!! My new car was suppose to be my baby but it was a big let down. Another friend just bought the MDX and is having issues already. Save money and buy a LEXUS instead, I wish I did. I hope this posts helps! You have to make them take you seriously if not talk to the Manager and keep going up the chain of command.

sorry to hear of your problems with your acura. I have a 06 tsx 6spd/w nav and love it. No problems (knock on wood) It has 7,200 miles on it. My sister-in-law and her husband are huge fans of Lexus but I also have a friend that had a lexus that was one problem after another. They now have a BMW. We also own a 05 Hyundai elantra GT that now has 53,000 on it-no problems. It is too bad hyundai does not have a 4-door car with 6-speed. I would have bought that. For the money it is just as good as those high priced cars.since we keep our cars for a very long time-we are not concerned about re-sale. My good friend is a acura service manager so I know I will get excellant service for my TSX. If fact he was the one that helped me when I bought it,getting a good price.

I'd have to disagree with the dealer about it being normal for the car to take a while to start, regardless of it has sat for a couple of days.

From my limited and admittedly anecdotal experience with my own '04, I've never had this problem. The OEM battery is kind of weak for the car, but the car always cranks the first time, and my car routinely sits for five days at a time due to my having access to a company vehicle.

Hope you are able to resolve your problem.

I have to agree with you. we have had cars that sits for many days and they always start with no problems. My tsx sits for a few days to a week at a time and it always starts.

Yeah the first 3x I went in they told me it was normal. I just kept going back until they found something and a reason for why it wouldn't start.

It's not normal at all, they lie!

*waves fists at Acura* You know I still get upset when I see Acura commercials, I got a semi-lemon.

I wouldn't blame Acura, but I would blame the stealer...

sounds like a lousy service department to me. when we owned a 98 eagle talon bought new the engine light was on. We brought it back to the selling dealer and the service advisor blamed it on a loose gas cap. It would go back on and we would make sure the cap was tightened. we took it to another dealer-it was not the cap there was something else wrong with it. They fixed it under warranty. Needless to say we never went back to the selling dealer. The s.m was very rude and unpleasant.

When driving my 2004 tsx I noticed a Strange burning smell inside the car. Later when I turned my lights on I noticed that the buttons for the radio and climate control were not lighting up, strangly only the buttons are not lit. The display for the radio/climate control are lit. Is this a short or is it just a fuse??

2007 TSX - dashboard rattle/creak by ihammer

Hi fellow TSX owners,
I got a 2007 TSX last month and have about 1700 miles on it. I commute 80 miles per day round trip to work and the last two days when I've left the garage at work to drive home I've experienced a creaking or rattling sound in the dashboard which sounds like it's coming from somewhere near the "A" pillar on the passenger side. It is worse when I accelerate and it continues for the entire drive across the city and then for several miles on the freeway. About 45 minutes to an hour into the commute home, the noise stops. When it is happening it is very irritating and needless to say the drive is no fun at all - just stressful. It can even be heard over the radio. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this in his/her TSX and if so were you able to have Acura fix it? Thanks in advance for any replies!

PS. Aside from the dashboard rattle/creak the car is very nice and I love driving it, but I won't live with a brand new $30,000 car with a rattling dashboard. No new car regardless of the price should have a rattling dashboard.

My 2006 a.s. TSX auto has 1100 miles on it. I have no rattles at all, but my 2004 Accord V6 developed a squeak/rattle in the passenger A-pillar after 5 or 6 months. The dealer popped it open, glued it and put in a small shim. That was 2 years ago and no problem since! Try getting your dealer to respond the way my Honda dealer did. (Victoria BC, Canada).
