What products should be used to maintain leather seats? How often should they be used?

There's a whole thread on this topic happening on another TSX forum right now. The two leaders seemed to be Zaino and Lexol.

Since I have a similar problem with my 2006 TL, I would appreciate it if you can share with me the response you received from the case manager and any other subsequent measures you have taken to alleviate this problem.

Hi.
I took the car to the dealer 3 times to show them the rust that began after 6 months of ownership. Each time, they neglected to acknowledge that there was rust; they simply called it stone chipping. So, I called Acura itself and logged the issue with their customer service. The first-level support guy also would not acknowledge that it was rust and was generally not cooperative. I then asked to speak with his manager, who was unavailable but called me back the next day. I logged the issue with her; she was a good listener, but again, said that there was pretty much nothing they could do. I told her that the situation was unacceptable and that I was taking the car in one last time to the dealer. She said she would talk with them after they reviewed the car again. And that, she did. She called me back the very next day after they had the car, and believe it or not, they agreed to a "one-time Good Will repainting" of my hood.

So, in a nutshell, be incredibly persistent with the dealer and Acura. They should budge if they want to keep you as a customer.

Good luck!

Automakers are known to be conservative in signaling an empty tank. Typically, one would have at least 2 more gallons after the empty light is on. Just a story to share. In April this year, our family went to the great U.S. Southwest for a week. We rented a 2007 Jeep Cherokee Laredo which runs about 18 mpg. When the empty light was on, I estimated that we'd have another 20 miles to the next major crossroad so I don't really worry that much. When we got to that intersection, the ONLY gas station was out of gas and the next gas station would be 25 miles away.

Slightly panic, I turned off the AC, drive grandmotherly at 40 mph on a mainly level highway. Eventually we drove another 46 miles after the empty light was on, which gave us about at least 2.5 gallons reserve in the tank.

About 2 months ago, I've ran my TSX down to about around 25-30 miles till empty. When I filled up, it only took about 14.3 gallons when the pump clicked off. There wasn't anyone behind me so I decided to fill my car up to the max. It took about 5 minutes of slowly dripping the gas in the car. I topped off at 16.2 gallons before someone pulled up behind me.

The TSX suppose to have a 17.1 gallon tank and I added 16.2 gallons total. I would always go by the distance till empty instead of relying on the “reserves”. We all laughed at those poor idiots running down the hwy with a 1 gallon gas container 1/2 mile from the gas station.

Yes, My 2007 TSX had that problem. The dash was rattling/creaking near the passenger side "A" pillar. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times to have it fixed - the 3rd fix was a couple of weeks ago. For now it is quiet and I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays quiet. The rattle/creak noise happened in my car on any road which was even slightly rough so it was happening a lot. If it comes back again I'll take it in for the 4th fix. Have you taken yours in yet? What they did for mine was to insulate the area with some kind of felt or foam tape I think.

2007 TSX (auto trans)shaking as if it is going to stall by ihammer

Last Thursday near the end of my 40 mile commute I came to a stoplight which turned red so I slowed down gradually to stop, gently braking. Just as I was almost at a full stop the car began violently shuddering/shaking as if it was going to stall. No, I didn't forget to depress the clutch - I have an automatic, but I have owned many stick shift cars and the experience reminded me of times I was late depressing the clutch at a stop thus causing the car to shake and kill. Has anyone else experienced this? Might it be a transmission problem? It is definitely not a brake issue. This is about the 3rd time this has happened and it's very scary when it happens. Thanks for any input you can offer!

when my 06 tsx starting getting a slight rattle at 19,400 miles I told the service advisor about it. fixed on the 1st try-knock-on-wood- they made some kind of adjustment-no felt or foam tape needed.
