I had the same thing happen to my 2004 TSX (minus the burning odor). The dealer first replaced a fuse, which did nothing and then replaced the entire module. This included the CD player, so make sure you remove your CDs before going to the dealer. Otherwise it will take several weeks to get them back. Since then all has been well.

I experienced the same problem with my 2004 TSX in late February. Everything still works on the radio and climate control (including the display), with the exception of the lights. My car is out of warranty so I am reluctant to take it to the dealer for service on this issue. Any suggestions?

They (American Honda/Acura) have extended the warranty on the Audio-HVAC regarding this issue (Display is Dim or Dark and/or panel buttons not illuminating)to 7 years or 100,000 miles. The Transportation Service Bulletin sent to dealers is #04-021 and is dated January 23, 2007. Call your dealer to verify or wait for the extended warranty notice to show up in your mail. To check on TSB's for the TSX go to the ACURA-TSX.COM website... then go to Frequently Asked Questions....TSBs recalls and other known issues. You could also print the TSB from this website and bring it to your dealer.

I know there's been a million posts on different rattles and creaks in the TSX, but I haven't read anything on the problem I'm seeing. I guess it can best be described as a creak (similar to the sound of stepping on an old wood floor), and it seems to be coming from the dash or maybe from the windshield. It only happens when I drive on rough roads or over large bumps or potholes. Anyone else have this problem?

TSX Fuel Tank Size?

Have any of you heard of this before? The TSX (mine is an '06) is supposed to have a 17 gallon tank, right? Then why can I never get more than 13-14 gallons in at a time? Today I filled up when the needle was on "E" and the Range Gauge was down to "0", but I was only able to put 13.992 gallons in the tank. Is there a 3-gallon reserve or something? Is everyone else able to put 17 gallons in their tank?

I am trying to change a couple settings on my '07 TSX, like how long the interior lights stay on etc. Following the manual, but get Unknown Driver, Customize impossible message. I use the key fob to unlock doors before trying, manual says I will get that message when I open door with key, but using the fob so it should work. any ideas appreciated.

I've never put in over 14 gallons either, most are in the 12-13 range.

You need to program your remote. Do this by holding the "lock" and "unlock" button down at the same time. The red light on the remote will light. At that point, once you lock and unlock the door via the remote, the car will recognize your key and you can set your preferences.

Has anyone experienced a squeeking or creeking noise when they slow down / brake. I have an 2006 TSK with only 6k miles and when I brake and come to a slow stop it sounds like the shocks are squeeking... No indicator lights have come on and the brakes work just as good as the day I bought the car.
