Mastertech Extended Warranty. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2006 Corvette. I have the option of getting it a certified Chevy/GM warranty 12 Mo-12K miles and the balance of the5 year 100K power train warranty. The F & I guy at the dealership is offering me a 4 year 60K warranty in liew of the GM cert warranty for approx $1500. has anyone ever heard of this company? Are they reputable. Any problems aout there. Its supposed to be a bumper to bumper warranty. Replying to: raa1 (Oct 01, 2009 8:37 am) Buy a GM manuf. ext warr either online at any GM dealer site or in person at any GM dealership.The finance managers push these 3rd party warr as there is more profit in these for them.For them,not for you.For you is is total crap.  Even the US govt backed GM and Chrysler warr when they went bust.Would they back some crappy 3rd party aftermarket warr ??Hell no. And search GM forums online on Google or on edmunds forums.They have a list of GM dealers offering GM ext warr at very good prices.Not necessary that you buy a warr at your purchasing local dealer. Hope this helps.
