I don`t think any American ext warr company will cover for a vehicle in Mexico.B`cos then it would involve too much of a hassle with country laws ,exclusions, maintenance proof etc.,etc.
But if u are staying in Mexico permanently,,then it is better to search for local Mexican ext. warr companies.Probably the Ford/GM dealers down there can get u a warr..
So if u have any contact info of the Ford/GM dealers in Mexico,,call them and they could help u.That would be your best bet.
Good luck..

Read the warranty book in the glove box. There is a section that talks about if your car breaks down in a country that does not honor the warranty you can be reimbursed for the cost of the repair one you return to a country that does honor it.

Hi there -

In taking a look through this stream, I was wondering where you obtyained this info and was it for APCO. If so, could you tell me what the updated prices might be for dealer wholesale for an easy care -total gold package for the various years/miles- thanks so much -

That post is referring to GMPP-General Motors Protection Plan, not related to APCO/Easy Care.

Does anyone recommend WarrantyDirect.com? by jeep415

Am based in CA with a 4x4 Grand Cherokee 2005. 36k factory warranty just ran out so am shopping for an extended warranty.

I have not found any negative reviews on warranty direct.

They are CA approved and seems to have a pretty comprehensive coverage with named components

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You must not have looked very hard? Did you do a discussion search (at top of page)?

Warranty Direct seemed okay to me when I researched the company a while back. They've called and e-mailed me multiple times, saying time is running out before the rates would go up on my Mazda MPV. But, they are a third party extended warranty.... which as you know, is like having the curse of the undead put upon you.

I jutst purchased a fully loaded 2009 camry hybrid for $26,350 and received pressure to buy extended warranty for $1300. I said I wouldn't do it until I fully read and understood what I was buying. Is this reasonable price and is it worth it?

U can get a Toyota Manuf warr for around 1300...so this is a really good price u got.
It`s a hybrid too,so,,Go ahead and buy it if u plan to keep your car atleast 4-5 years or drive more than 36k.
But make sure it is a original Toyota Manuf warr..--not a 3rd party warr.A dealer can sell u any warr he likes-- manuf. or 3rd party. But he makes more profit on 3rd party -so he pushes them more. These 3rd party ones are useless, they dont pay anything.
So confirm with him on this and get a Toyota Manuf warr.U can read the Toyota Ext warr details on The Toyota website!!

How long do you plan to keep the vehicle and how many miles do you typically drive a year? The powertrain is covered for 5 yr/60k miles. Do you need more coverage than that?
