Replying to: dwynne (Jul 03, 2007 2:46 pm) I was on a RAV4 owners website- www.rav4world.com and there is an active thread on Toyota extended warranties in the "4.3 general Forum". Anyhow, lot of people have bought extended warranty (Platinum Plan) from Toyota of Greenfield in Greenfield, MA. 7 yrs/100 K miles for $805 with 0 deductible. Since I cannot post the contact info here, anyone interested can check out the above website and the thread or do a search on that site.

Replying to: kst1 (Jul 05, 2007 12:54 pm) I am currently offering the Toyota Platinum 7 yr / 100,000 mile Extra Care plan w/ $0 deductible for $745.00 on the Scion xB, which is the longest plan available in both years and mileage. I have not really started looking, since with Toyota/Scion you have until the base warranty runs out to buy one - so I have a while to go. Compared to a similar HondaCare plan for a Fit or a Civic this seems a decent price. Dennis |

| I have a C55 running out of factory warranty in 6000 miles. I got into a crappy balloon loan and can't get out in one piece for another 2.25 years. I expect to put 70K miles on the car by then. I am really thinking about an extended warranty, but the dealer priced it at almost $6000!!! Is there a decent aftermarket add on warranty available, or do I simply hope and pray for 2 more years sans breakdowns? Thanks, Adam | |

I would like to purchase the OEM warranty for my '06 Pilot. Has anyone been able to negotiate the price in FL on these warranties? The in-state versus out of state prices are unreal  For a 48/48 an online quote from an out of state dealer was $1,205 and the in state dealer was $2,705

If you go to any of the online HC links, like the one user msw66 provided, they will not sell you a plan once you disclose you live in FL. BTW, there is a HC specific forum here at Edmunds . Dennis |

Florida's insurance situation is a nightmare, and extended warranties are a minimal issue. I just renewed my professional liability insurance and there was a 2% surcharge to help bail out Citizens Insurance, the State's property insurance Company. I've got a real problem with it.
